we have a single NY6 trophy added to the case under Kiffin. Freeze did the same but it was an even more prestigious NY6 trophy.

We have the ultimate frick you lined up if Kiffin leaves and I want that card to be played. We would announce Sumrall possibly the same day that Kiffin quits. We've already discussed staffing and NIL plans with Sumrall. We will end up with a great coach and get the drama to be someone else's problem. Sumrall would also be a hit to Auburn who fricked us in 22. That would be some sweet revenge and cement our place as a big boy program. We should either reduce Kiffin's buyout to nothing or jack up the price of him leaving to $20 million. He would never accept that and it would ensure we are done with this guy.

I don't think that's a frick you to Kiffin at all. If anything it justifies his actions. You'd be doing the same thing to Tulane, that LSU would potentially do to Ole Miss by hiring a playoff coach before it starts.

Except it's not the same because Tulane is a G5 program in which we wouldn't poach their players, they aren't in the same conference, and we have a great working relationship with Tulane, so we would treat them fairly.

It's just not the same.

The big problem is that Kiffin here is already putting the players against the school.

It's quite exactly the same, whether you want to believe it or not. The stakes are the same.

You can't be mad at Lane leaving before the playoffs and then actively wish for your team to do the same to another coach. That's about as hypocritical as it gets.

It’s the same, and it’s not the same. Surely you can pick out a few distinct differences.

Like Tulane being an inferior program? I assure you LSU thinks the same of Ole Miss.

Dude it's not just him leaving that is bad. It's all the behind the scenes shite that is happening that is bad. It's not the same situation, at all. Kiffin is actively behind the scenes trying to burn shite down on his way out. If he would just go, most of us wouldn't have a problem with it. He has personally pushed a narrative that if he leaves we would drop in the seeding. Have you seen the same stories about Tulane? I mean everyone in the country knows he is going to be gone as well. But Tulane would never not let him coach the playoff, but if he went to say Memphis, they would absolutely not let him coach in the playoff.

I know enough:

There are currently two groups of players, the mercenaries that are coach or die and the players that are pissed at coach. So the team is divided.

He told the coaches that he wants to stay and then sent them out to recruit, then called some of them back at the last minute and held a mandatory last minute unscheduled practice last Friday morning. So half of our coaches are pissed at him.

I know his agency, CAA, has fully galvanized their PR push to hurt Ole Miss in playoff seeding. Yes, the Chris Low, Brett McMurphy shite is all from Sexton.

I know he very publicly allowed an LSU plane to land in Oxford and have his family loaded up to go house hunting. This was a direct and pointed slap in the face to our admin and our big money boosters.

I know all season long that he bashed our fanbase even to the point of telling outright lies to the media.

Now, what of all of these has Sumrall done that is the same thing? We have a toxic employee and Tulane does not. If you think this is just about him leaving, you are wrong. It is HOW he is choosing to leave that is the problem.

It's 99% about him leaving. You know why? He's your best chance at a national championship. Tulane wouldn't be any less pissed than Ole Miss fans. The end result is the same. You lose a coach who is your best chance at a national title before it even begins. I don't care how far fetched that is for Tulane fans, it holds water.

You are until proven otherwise. I do think y'all can sustain somewhat similar success in all honesty.
