I remember the first time we wore them. Cam Newton passed, rushed and caught a touchdown pass against us.

Fwiw I prefer the traditional navy & red tops over the grey. But I definitely think the grey would look good with the navy or powder helmets if it was updated to have one stripe color on the shoulders instead of both.

A) We aren’t a good program. We haven’t made a bowl game in four years.
B) There are many programs much better than us who trot out one-time uniforms or frequently change uniforms. Just enjoy it for what it is

If it were me in charge, I would totally freeze our uniform combinations for the rest of time. We already have more jersey options than most power schools without the gimmick stuff. The point is for anyone OM fan or not to recognize who is playing without having to read the scoreboard.
Jersey options would be red, navy, white with two stripes on the shoulders. Possibly wear the powder blue jerseys once or twice a year.
Helmets could either be navy or powder blue.
Pants should always be gray with red/blue stripe. It's one of the few uniquely Ole Miss things we have left. White pants make us look like penn state or wisconsin. Blue pants looked terrible.

I loathed the blue pants.
I didn’t mind the all white look against Texas Tech in 2018. Maybe it’s because I had a great time at that game.
I’m also liked this look last season:

Ok let me put it this way, we have arguably the best uniforms in the country. Certainly high up the list. Have remained virtually unchanged forever
That is something a lot of programs can’t say and imo it’s a big deal and messing with it is a frick up

The blue pants made me want to gouge my eyes out
These jerseys aren’t near that level, I just don’t want them to become commonplace, at all

Yeah see your point and somewhat agree, but to be fair, some teams are changing fonts, altogether adding things (i.e. spikes on UGA collar), and other gimmicky changes.
We’re keeping the same basic uniform layout (fonts on numbers, stripe location, OM script location, etc.) we’re just mixing and matching color options. Highly subjective and just personal preference, but the same color schemes all year are boring to me (and the players / recruits seem to like it a lot).

You had me at recruits.

I don’t get being “bored” by our color schemes when we already have more than most schools just by default. That argument is weak.
Also, powder blue helmets are cool and have a funny back story so they are a legitimate thing. I like the baseball uniforms because it’s just a cardinals throwback basically. But we need to be careful going overboard on this shite. There’s gonna be a lot of people who at first glance when they look at the TV tomorrow won’t know who the hell they are looking at. And it just seems like in general we as a school just beat shite into the ground whenever we stumble on something cool because we are desperate to find things to replace all the shite we’ve gotten rid of over the years and then we end up looking like clowns, and I fear it will only get worse.

Looks like we are wearing white pants tomorrow much to my chagrin. Can't wait for the tarheel game tomorrow!

I always just want navy headgear, red jersey and gray pants. That said, if we play well or by some chance even win, those guys can wear whatever the hell they want.

Gonna look like UNC vs Clemson.
Hahaha.
But honestly what the frick does it matter? It a damned uniform. It doesn’t make us win or lose and will just be an alternate we throw in here and there.
As someone else said I’m just glad that we are keeping the same style and just adding another color.

Yeah, I'm more excited than not. Mostly kidding. I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't care about how Ole Miss brands itself, though

I mean if you want to get really deep why does anything matter? What’s the point of life?
If you don’t want to get that deep I feel like I laid it out pretty well in my above post. So whatevs
