I like to change things up here and there, but I still stay there isn't a better combo in football than navy helmets, red jersey and grey pants.

We could also go white helmet, powder blue jersey and white pants. We'd look like the old Houston Oilers

I’m not for that much change, but it’s an interesting concept. I’ve always wondered about the light blue jerseys. I always thought we’d see those come out as alternatives, because they wear them in practice still, and Ole Miss has worn them during games back in the day.

Like most everyone here I’m a fan of our traditional look but also like the white helmet. The all white as a once a year thing is cool but I way prefer both blue helmets. Wouldn’t mind more of the white pants with red stripes, need to ditch the stripeless blue pants.

Love the light blue but not really crazy about a football jersey in that color.

The South went 0-1 in wars and it didn’t stop us from naming our teams the Rebels

While we’re on offseasons topics of unis and mascots, How do y’all feel about our grass field so far?

Personally I like grass more than turf, but I’d like to see us paint our end zones blue. It looked much better..

This is our field paint now..

Compared to back when it was turf..

Whish we could just paint the end zones on our grass field.. Alabama does it, and it looks great..

Or we could go two tone Blue and Red similar to how LSU does it..looks great on thier grass field as well..

Agreed, not sure why they went away from it.

If we are going for the natural grass endzones, just do the classic diagonal stripes. If not, go with full color. In-between just looks crappy.

We need to nail down two pants, two jerseys, and two helmets and stick with them for the rest of time. Eight possible combos is more than almost any team and we can still maintain our iconic look. Any more than 1 maybe 2 games a year in all white or another experimental look just looks gimicky and screams a sort desperation for attention that has little to do with football. Don't water down our brand, it's already good enough. I rest my case.

P.S. The new Landshark mascot looks like vomit. Way to ruin what could have been this:

The whole problem with trying to "tackle" the landshark mascot thing is simple, and yet not simple in the least. If you try to make it too tough or scary looking (which is something we pretty much all equate to sharks) then you run the risk of scaring little kids. For many, the kids are the whole point of mascot to begin with. On the other hand, if it's too cartoony or kiddy looking, then you catch a lot of heat from the adults who say there's nothing intimidating about it. I still think we should go for a friendlier version, but we are never gonna please everybody with it. Lastly, I couldn't care less about what those outside of Ole Miss think about it. I stopped caring about them long ago.

I like the traditional unis for conference games.
and if the players want to wear something different for the non conference or bowl games then I good with it.

The combo they haven't done is the powder blue helmet with the all white with red trim.

The white helmet looks good, but I think the powder blue helmets would look awesome with the all whites.

Maybe next season they can do the all whites with powder blue trim with the powder blue helmet to match the trim.
