What a monster. He's off the line before the RG even knows the ball was snapped.

You don't agree?

He's our most disruptive DT and he's only 256 lbs.

He consistently pushes opposing OL's shite in. And he's only 256 lbs.

I'd call that a monster.

“Everybody is so much closer,” he said. “I can honestly say when we leave this field, we’re not just going to talk about it here. When we go home there’s more guys in one area before I got here. We’re with each other all the time. We’re so close to one another. We’re even to the point that out of the blue we’ll say ‘I love you.’ We do that on a daily basis now.”

I saw him when Petal played South Panola baack in 2009 and 2010 and I told a friend of mine it was if he was shot out of a cannon how fast his first step as a DT is. He was in our backfield all night long.

Yep.

And Landsharks's quote is another reason I not only like this kid so much, but why I love CHF.

You see it on the sidelines during games. You've got upperclassmen and underclassmen sitting next to each other, hugging each other after big plays. Everyone seems to get along. It's a total change in attitude on the team.

Thats freaking awesome.. And he is a monster.

Also, thats another reason you cant rely on stats to determine how 'good' a player is. Gross completely made that play but on paper isnt given any credit for it.

It is nice to see a 3* mauling a 4* that had offers from everyone, is a year older and probably outweighs him by 50+ pounds

I agree too. Dude is a monster on the field. A guy shooting that gap that fast is hell on the running game. The play is busted before it starts. He nearly hits McCoy he is so freaking fast off the line. That isn't something you teach.

Texas lost 2 offensive linemen during the game: guard Mason Walters, a 5-star, senior, and tackle Josh Cochran, a 3-star, junior.

Also hurt were WR Mike Davis, a 5-star, senior, backup TE Daniels, a 3-star, junior, and LB Santos, a 4-star, soph.

The other WR, Shipley is also a 5-star, as were DE Jeffcoat, and the 2 RB's Johnathon Gray and Malcolm Brown.

Davis and Gray scored the TD's against our D. Brown was the RB who caused McCoy's odd fumble.

The RG got bet so bad on this play he had no other option but to hold on and hope the ref didn't see him. I saw that play the other night when I was watching the replay and was amazed at Gross' speed off the snap.

I'm noting the RT in the pic is Estelle. He is 6-7, and also a 5-star.

One year Texas signed 6 5-stars, and another year they signed only 5.
