The part I am excited about is how much money each SEC school will get from the deal:

I honestly would never think of it if it wasn't for this site.

This.

Also, that money goes to everyone. It's not like we get a leg up on anyone.

It's going to be the biggest sports launch in the history of television... I'm excited about SEC Network's Gameday Show being in Nashville for the Vandy game... Then we play ULL on SECN the very next weekend... Boise in ATL and Vanderbilt at LP Field are both primetime ESPN night games... We've never gotten this much exposure our first 3 games before... The SECN is going to be amazing.

Give me a break. We get a leg up on every non-SEC team out there with few exceptions. We may not be able to compete with the Alabamas and the UGAs but we can still use money to develop our program to still get a bluechip recruiting class most years.

Yeah this is a very ignorant and shortsighted statement.

This money is HUGE.

It helps us out more than it helps out Bama and LSU. Because they already bring in more money than us and since we all get the same amount it's a higher % of money for us compared to what we already get.

Not to mention it helps us catch up to other top tier scores outside the sec and lets us pull away from lower/mid schools outside the sec.

Exactly. The example one guy gave is last year msu was last in the conference at #62 nationally. At year three of the sec network they would be #30. If that isn't big I don't know what it. The way I look at it if we are competing nationally with say a kid in CA we have the funds and soon facilities to compete with those teams. Its not just about the SEC.

I mean I guess it's cool that I get to see some games I don't really care about.

I mean I'm excited about getting the money obviously but outside of a couple games that will be on it instead of a major network I don't really care to watch it. Will I ever turn to it after football season? Maybe if we are playing basketball on it. Otherwise idc

I doubt I will watch the gameday at all. The crew they have for that is just awful.

Because I could give a shite about other conferences outside of football.

They plan on doing more original programming once it picks up, so there's that to look forward to.
