If we win this weekend then I’m 99% sure if Kiffin intends on staying that he will sign his extension before the Egg Bowl. If he doesn’t then that will be pretty telling. Him wanting to wait until after the Florida game to announce he is staying is something that falls in line with his personality

I also think we are approaching a time where the AD pushes Lane for an answer. If Lane is going to leave we cannot wait to start our hiring process until too late into the season - otherwise our only options would be who to promote between Pete and Joe Judge.

It’ll be after the regular season like always when it’s announced. Maybe it’s done sooner (maybe it’s been done for a few days), but I’d be shocked if it got announced before then.

No joke, I don’t think Joe Judge would be that bad of an “interim”. He’s done a phenomenal job with Chambliss this year. He would be the most qualified on the staff.

Pete doesn’t want to be HC. So yeah, if Lane were to get polio or something it would be Judge.

Yes, I've heard this as well and it makes sense. The dude makes $3 million + and doesn't have to run a program. He makes more than every G5 head coach except Jamey Chadwell (Liberty) and Dan Mullen (UNLV).

No. They announced it way later. The State fans were even taunting our fans with Auburn chants.
EDIT: He publicly announced he was staying to ESPN on Saturday Nov 26 and the official announcement was Nov 29.
