Let's go ahead and start this discussion before some of you idiot newbs hit the rant with your usual idiocy.

Our 2014 is as follows:

Aug. 28 vs. Boise State (Atlanta)
Sept. 6 at Vanderbilt
Sept. 13 LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Sept. 20 OPEN
Sept. 27 MEMPHIS
Oct. 4 ALABAMA
Oct. 11 at Texas A&M
Oct. 18 TENNESSEE
Oct. 25 at LSU
Nov. 1 AUBURN
Nov. 8 PRESBYTERIAN
Nov. 15 OPEN
Nov. 22 at Arkansas
Nov. 29 MISSISSIPPI STATE

Anyone seriously expecting more than 8 wins will probably be let down. You will also be ridiculed and called out for the idiot that are you if you flood the rant with proclamations of greatness.

We won 8 games and finished 6th out of 7 in the West this year. The only team we finished ahead of is Arkansas. We finished behind Mississippi State in the West.

Again, we finished behind Mississippi State in the West.

Our expectations should be to maintain and win at least 8 games while also finishing in the top 5 in the West in 2014.

Any delusions of teams like Bama, aTm, Auburn, or LSU falling off next year are just that. All these teams will be strong and we'll have to play our best ball to beat any of them. State will be better next year as well.

The point of this thread is that no one gets carried away.

Hotty Toddy, Win the Day, and 8-4 in 2014!

Boise just lost their great HC and got spanked in their bowl game. This isn't the Boise from 5 years ago. Very winnable.

Vanderbilt loses 4-5 starters on both sides and their HC.

ULL had one of the best seasons in school history this year, which included a loss to Arkansas.

Arkansas will be better next year I'm sure, but I'd still give us the edge.

Tennessee is getting there. If they find a QB, it will be a tough game.

MSU will probably be another toss up. I'll give us the edge at home.

LSU is losing everything on an offense that Wommack defended well anyways. Losing a couple of players on defense but not a lot. No idea how this team will look next year.

Bama is a likely loss.

Auburn is a likely loss.

Manziel and Mike Evans are both likely declaring they're going pro. A&M will probably fall off some, plus 3 O-linemen and a decent secondary gone, all from a team that came from behind to beat us by 3. Probably going to be some drop off here.

C&P'd from my post on another board

Agreed. 8-4 (4-4) would be a wildly successful season, IMO.

So you agree that 4 regular season losses are probable.

Sure. Bama and Auburn will be losses. LSU could easily bounce back but I'm confident in what I've seen in Freeze vs. Miles. Nobody knows how A&M will be. I think Tennessee is a good QB away from being a tough team and could beat us. Vandy is always tough, as is MSU.

I disagree a little. I see 9-3. (With obvious belief that our freshman and Bo and team improve in offseason)

And I do believe A&M will be down next year. They have barely beaten us 2 years in a row and that's with JFF.

But we SHOULD be 4-0 going into a home game with Bama. I'm nowhere near calling a win. But shite will be crazy.

We have 3 MAYBE 4 guaranteed wins. That's it. We're going to lose to Bama, that's just automatic.

7-8 win season. Anything higher and i'll be surprised.

A&M will be the weakest of that bunch by a lot.

I see no less than 8 wins in that schedule if we stay healthy.

This is not your father's Boise State. They're down.
We'll beat Vandy at home. Franklin is likely to leave.
Arkansas will still be lousy.
Tennessee is still a long way away despite what they think.
LSU and A&M are both losing a ton.

I'd be fine with 8-4. That would continue the streak of improving 1 game per year, which would mean we would be 12-0 by 2017, my sophomore year in college.

Lol @ me. But yeah I'd be good with 8-4

NEVER call either an automatic win. Especially one we've never beaten in history and the games are both on the road.

It is actually a better outlook than you think

Aug. 28 vs. Boise State (Atlanta)
New coach

Sept. 6 at Vanderbilt
New coach/new QB

Sept. 13 ULL
W

Sept. 20 OPEN
Sept. 27 MEMPHIS
Memphrika

Oct. 4 ALABAMA
Get them at home finally with a new QB = close Lol

Oct. 11 at Texas A&M
No JFF/no Evans/southern miss beat Sumlin the last time he didn't have JFF

Oct. 18 TENNESSEE
This team looses ALOT. They will be playing majority of Freshmen next year and no proven QB. Plus they are in Oxford.

Oct. 25 at LSU
Prob a loss fricking Baton Rouge

Nov. 1 AUBURN
Prob a loss because we will be flat after LSU. But they do come to Oxford.

Nov. 8 PRESBYTERIAN
W

Nov. 15 OPEN
W

Nov. 22 at Arkansas
Will be really tough game at their place. Prob be fighting for bowl game and a sig win. Will be favored more than likely.

Nov. 29 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Now cowbell=No egg
As long as the same coaches are in place, state will always get blown out in Oxford. frick the dork knight.

I really think we will have a big year in 2014. If we don't I'm gonna disappointed. I'm thinking at least 10 wins!

Didn't mean to say that I thought that LSU and A&M were automatic wins, just meant that I expect them both to have somewhat down years. I think we go 1-1 against those two.

I think 9-3 with a bowl win to make 10 is the ceiling.

We will get cheated against Bama
We will shite the Bed against Auburn
And
We will lose close to LSU
