Everyone in North Mississippi stay safe the next few days

Just finished filling up my gas cans for the generator. Thankfully we have gas heat and a gas water heater. I've seen where we may get 8" of snow here in Oxford.

I posted this in the arctic blast thread on the OT but
My parents and grandparents are both a little more northern in the heaviest band of expected snowfall.. checked in with them earlier and they’re all hunkered down

As long as they keep it plowed it’s really not that big of a deal. Also good snow tires are amazing

What's strange is we're just getting sleet. When I posted earlier, it looked like snow at that time, but it's been nothing but sleet for hours.

Right. A very hard sleet but the streets have very little snow on them

Just took the dogs out (the mini doxie wasn't thrilled), but looks like there's some actual snow in the mix now.
