He is still hurt. I'm ready for him to be healthy. We need him.

Yeah... We need him back badly... Sam Smith is still too inconsistent .... Goes 6 innings last Sunday with 0 ERs and 5 Ks against a potent FIU lineup... Then turns around and gives up 10 hits and 7 ERs in only 4 1/3 innings against Lipscomb... Three of those hits were homeruns... In his defense , it was a hitter's day with the wind blowing out but Smith just doesnt throw his breaking stuff for a strike as often as Ellis does.

I think so too...we have alot of errors at short and we are still winning..we are killing the ball..what is more impressive is we are running and stealing...makes me HAPPY

Ellis has been missed , I also will be glad when he returns.
Sam is better than he showed today, and I think he will only get better. To many errors ,giving our opponent second chances. I have confidence they will work them out and continue with success. Hotty Toddy Rebels !

The only reason I'm not upset about AA's play at SS is because he is tearing it up offensively. At this point he is helping more than hurting. If he starts to struggle offensively and doesn't improve defensively then we might need to look at giving him a break.

Wilson and J Overbey are the only other options. Let's just hope he improves defensively and this doesn't become a recurring theme.

But this year he is the best option and he has improved alot from the 235 hitter.luck or no luck. as long as we are winning all is good

I agree this team has something special.
I think some of our new arms from the bull pin is really going to step up and help make a difference.
