This freaking sucks, me and my dad planned a last minute trip to Death Valley (my first time ever) and now it's gonna be harder for us to win. I wanna beat them so badly, why not just play the last regular season game and forego the bowl game..............

Not like LSU is playing with a full deck of cards either.

The key to this game is if our D can force them to throw. Johnson, their freshman QB, was hovering around 50% completions all night (he had two good final drives that got him to 58%). Florida’s D was sleep walking through that game....which looked remarkably similar to our D

Edit: also we need to contain Johnson. He extended a ton of drives by rushing when his WRs couldn’t get open.

You serious? We very much forced them to throw, or maybe they just threw because they knew they could against our pass rush (or lack of). Sigh. At least we've got another game.

IMO it's one thing to skip a bowl but quite another to walk out on your teammates and not even finish the season. This game mattered to the Rebel Nation and we would have won handily w/ Moore even just as a decoy.

I'm afraid team loyalty has taken a backseat to the almighty dollar.

I think the timing of everything during covid made it worse. If this game was played when it was suppose to they would have been there. Instead its played a month later near the end of december. They've got to start prepping for the combine/draft and getting things in order.

I do expect to see a lot more bowl opt outs going forward. It just doesn't make sense for potential picks to play in them outside of the playoffs.

I can’t blame someone for trying to look out for their future....but yeah not having the two of them hurts.

That being said...they wouldn’t have prevented LSU from dropping 50 on us.

I have no idea why we consistently rushed 3 while dropping 8. After the first half where Boutte had over 100 yards doing the same crossing route you would have thought we would have brought the linebackers in an effort to get the ball out of Johnson’s had before 10 seconds had passed.

We badly need some guys that have quick twitch get off to rush the passer!

frick everyone in this thread that shite on Moore and Kenny for this decision.

Ealy and Sanders both went down to injuries. That could have been either of those guys and would have cost Moore millions. This season is stupid and useless and we were playing for literally nothing. Smart decisions on theirs parts.

Any injury has the chance of causing him to fall out of the 1st round.

And again, we are literally playing for nothing in this stupid, useless season.

I get it. In fact I’ve struggled with the notion of having nothing but the playoffs and no bowls this year. I could get onboard with it pretty easy. I also struggle with this whole opt out BS as well. At the end of the day it still always just feels like quitting on your team.
