Landmass, were you there for the seven ot game against Arkansas and did you yell at some sorority girls for not supporting the team? I was there with my friend Nick and you sound like a guy he knew that was there.

Meh, can't blame our fans (our myself) for this one.
Stadium was packed the whole game against USM. Just about everybody left during/after the FIRST quarter against UAB because it was unbelievably hot.
I damn near had a heat stroke

In the first half, that was the most students I have seen at a game in 5 years or at least close to that. After the half though, I agree
They stood the whole damn half, too. That was impressive.

I left after the long run by Walton. Poured a drink then almost got into a fight with students throwing a football down the blue lane. Hit 5 people in 10 min. I'm surprised UPD didn't shut down the huge part tent.

I'm not sure which game you saw, but I was impressed with the student section. They were on their feet the whole time and it was filled up until at least mid-way through the 3rd or end of the third. It's their money though, they can do what they want. We were up by 30+ on a non-conference opponent. That won't happen during SEC season. Chill.

I'm still burnt from 2 weeks ago. Getting real tired of these noon/2 o'clock games.

It looks like a one possession game in that picture. OP is bitching about being up by 40 and leaving in the third.

Is the OP like 50 years old and kind of a tard?
The student section was packed at the beginning and the game was over in the 1st quarter.
Obviously when the shite is over people are going to make plans to leave. Not everyone who goes to the games is a hardcore football fan.

Most of the girls are there for the social event and once they are ready to leave you can bet the guys are going to follow.

Probably not going to be an issue to worry about the rest of the season with the exceptions of Memphis (may be) and PC.

State's endzone totally emtpy and only up 6 points on UAB

It's always pissed me off. So many of our students are awful, bandwagon fans.
At halftime of aTm last yr, I was by the concessions on the east side yelling down at students who were filing out along the practice field fence. It was a goddamn one score game. I was fricking livid.
Ended up getting into it with some a-hole old dude who was standing near me and told me to shut up. I wasnt cursing or anything, just heckling the shite out of the bros and bitches leaving. After walking up and giving that smug bastard a piece of my mind, I realized it was probably best for me to move along considering I had a vape on my person.

This man. It took me a while to accept but more than 50% of the people in the student section could give a frick whether we win or not.

You were mad because people were leaving the game? Who cares dude, if people want to leave they shouldn't be heckled by some random.
Posted on 9/17/14 at 5:04 pm to King of the North
I can understand leaving a blowout game, but why even come to a close SEC game if you are going to leave at halftime?? Just stay in the grove.
Posted on 9/17/14 at 5:22 pm to olemiss5931
So you don't want people to buy tickets anymore?
Posted on 9/17/14 at 5:31 pm to olemiss5931
I agree leaving a game like ULL at half is reasonable and personally I wouldn't leave an SEC game, im just saying that theres no point in yelling at people for doing what they want to do. Those people leaving shouldn't effect your game experience.
Posted on 9/17/14 at 7:55 pm to UMRealist
I think its a topic that needs to be looked into deeper. I realize that more tickets sold=more revenue. However, it seems like there has to be more people passionate about our team then some of these people leaving the game early in crucial moments. The people leaving do not bother me because it is their money so whatever, but it is hilarious seeing all these chicks at the games that have no clue what is going on
Posted on 9/17/14 at 7:58 pm to olemiss5931
In the future, I wouldn't mind seeing something in place that if you leave an SEC game before halftime, you don't get to use your ticket for the next game or something. Or maybe go to opposite, people who stay into the 4th quarter every game get free student tickets next season (or 50% off) or a t-shirt, or some other prize.
