I can deal with whatever it is, I guess. It already looks so much better.

The tower is expected to be finished by early spring and dedicated during the Rebels’ spring game weekend. At more than 60 feet tall, it will be the focal point when walking from the Grove to Vaught Hemingway’s North End Zone Plaza along the new Gertrude C. Ford Way. The game day Walk of Champions will culminate with players walking through the Lloyd Bell Tower.

I really hope these electrical lines are gone by kickoff.

I'm not sure why those power lines weren't swapped out to underground lines, already.

It seems that it would have been much easier if they would have put in the underground lines before attempting to get equipment into the work area.

They look pretty tacky and run across the street parallel with the walk of champions. They definitely need to clean that up and get some grass going on the other side of the street.

The green space across the street will be packed on game days. It should be nice to be that close to the stadium prior to kick off.

The time table is that it's done before the first home game. That's basically 3 months away.

...I don't see how they're being slow. Just need that last corner and I dunno what's already done underneath the stands.

Do you have any experience in construction? I ask because the average person doesn't realize everything that goes into a project of this magnitude. They're busting their asses I assure you. Just be glad the weather has cooperated so far.

Just as long as it's done before kickoff. Look at the Pavillion. They were literally putting the finishing touches on it in the minutes before tipoff and it's regarded as one of if not the nicest on campus facilities in college basketball.

If you think this is going slow, you probably don't remember the SEZ project back in 2001. It took them one year to have all the pillars in place similar to what you see at the Union renovation. That was painful compared to this project.

Granted the SEZ was a much more complicated project than the NEZ, but this is true. We had to play a season without an endzone due to it being a construction site. This Time around, they will have built an entire endzone expansion within a single offseason

If the goal is to make the NEZ look like the SEZ, I wonder why they didn't do it the same way. I'm sure that there is a way to make the suites a free-standing structure and put up the appropriate concrete foundation then, I just haven't followed as closely as y'all have obviously.

If anyone wants to expound that would be great. I love looking at long term projects such as this.
