I think they are doing the track and Gillom center. I know that they have plans for Swayze too. Hopefully they keep the pedal down on VHS. We have a very long way to go underneath both sidelines stands.

I know a couple of years ago there were plans to redo gillom. Add a weight room, new locker rooms, better entrance to volleyball and the tennis courts and better lobby. Pretty sure those are long gone. But to me that's fine considering football pays for all of that.

What if...
When the Tad Pad is demolished, they were to build a ampitheater in its place.
Huge stage area raised in front of a large level green space.
They can use it for graduations, school concerts, plays, rallies, and when game day shows up they have the perfect stage and area to do a great show.
Of course it would be another great space to set up for pre and post game gathering.

pep rallies, student political rallies, awareness rallies to raise money for various charities that most fraternities and sororities are involved.
rallies???
I like the idea it would be close to the fraternities and they could sponsor different bands for concerts.
Back in the 80's I really enjoyed the bands playing at the frat houses after games. Fun times back in the day.

It looks like there is good progress being made on the field. I can't wait to see this finished.

Has anyone in the administration mentioned a time frame when it might be possible to relocate the Fed Ex athletic educational Center from the NEZ?
I was told it would be at least 10 years, so around 2026.
There's a lot to continue to work on until then, but if they can get the west side and east side up to speed with the SEZ during that time it would really start to look like a first class facility.
The way they did the NEZ, it shouldn't be to intrusive for them to finish the outside entrance like that of the SEZ.
But once the press box is redone, the east side and the NEZ are completed the stadium will look impressive and more symmetrical.

I would be more in favor of mirroring the NEZ with the SEZ. That's a given... but instead of taking that concept to the sidelines, rip out the Billups Rebel Club and replace that with a box integrated into an upper deck kind of like MSU and Alabama.

I think we'd be better off with an east side upper deck that resembles the SEZ but has a rebel club sized upper deck spanning the sideline. Add press box above that with the overhang and you could have the exact same thing on the west.
An upper deck like bama or state would be too big for what we need. Plus nobody likes seats like that, it would be pretty damn far away from the field. Every seat in VH should be a good one imo. If you build an upper deck that is separated by a full press box, that takes those fans out of the game. Audibly and in terms of atmosphere.

So a perfect place to put away fans

I'm not saying to put an upper deck on top of our box. I'm talking about an integrated deck/box combo... like this at Auburn.
It would be perfect for vistors. Once you carry the SEZ design throughout the entire stadium, that's it... no more seats. That would also put about 30% of the stadium as club seats. Even large market NFL teams don't have that level of support. It's not feasible.

It's a lot easier selling one suit to a wealthy individual or business than to tell 10k regular seats, when they both generate the same amount of revenue. Premium seating is OM's best option to keep up with the big boys in revenue and the fact that we sell out of premium seating immediately after we add them proves we can always add more. We will never have the biggest stadium, but we can have the nicest with the best amenities, and that should be our goal. I do like the idea of having at least one upper deck to stash away visitor fans but OM should never have two. We would have to be creative to make one deck aesthetically pleasing, but Nebraska and wisky have proven that is very possible
