Posting what I heard on the Ole Miss staff side and without anything else added: All the assistants have been sent out on the road to finish out the 2026 recruiting class and Lane Kiffin addressed the assistants this morning and talked about how they’re building a dynasty here.

Make of that what you will. This all seems to be coming to a head. The meeting between Keith Carter and Kiffin tomorrow looms large. It’s Ole Miss or LSU right now, IMO. There's still absolutely a chance he still ends up at LSU. But I’m still sticking with my revised predictions from last night: Kiffin ends up staying at Ole Miss, but fully recognize I could be absolutely wrong. Y’all want to know what we hear. That’s something I've heard, and who it came from made me compelled to make this post.

We’ll see what happens! Bottom line, and we’ve been consistent: Lane Kiffin ain’t coaching Ole Miss in the playoffs if he’s leaving and he knows it.

ETA: I wrote some stuff lower in the thread that people might be interested in. I've included those posts below:

1. It’s Ole Miss or LSU and either outcome wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest but a staffer did say that so I thought it notable to share

2. Let me make something clear.

I believe Lane Kiffin wants/wanted to leave Ole Miss. However, the problems with the calendar, and his ability to not look like an a$$hole on his way out, is going to be the primary reason he stays, if he does. Ole Miss winning more than he expected derailed his plan.

We could very well find out tomorrow he’s headed to LSU. Some people I know and respect actually believe that to be the outcome tomorrow. But the staff piece was a nugget I felt necessary to share and falls in line with why I believe he’s staying — Ole Miss has just kept on winning, those dang little Rebels

3. LSU is throwing everything at Kiffin, by the way. This is still all very much in the air. Florida's disappeared. If Lane left for LSU tomorrow I believe Jon Sumrall would be the hire before the weekend's out.

(That's probably an exaggeration, to be fair, but Ole Miss has had extensive dialogue specifically with him and Auburn is spooked he's not done yet. Almost like he's waiting on a possible opening he'd prefer, like we've been reporting. But what do I know; I'm just stupid a$$ Ben Garrett).

Judge or Golding would be interim through the playoff.

5. Florida State has been back-channeling Kiffin, too. I don't know if that's been out there.
