Just saw a post on Facebook about an LSU insider clearing up the whole visit thing. According to that none of the family visited Baton Rouge.
Can we get a screenshot for playtime with the tigers please:)

That would be epic funny.. 2 Kiffins in the SEC as HC and LSU not getting the Kiffin they wanted
Posted on 11/19/25 at 11:54 am to Fireman17
They just saw “Kiffin” on the resume and said “you’re hired”

Reminds me of the story Bill Murray told on why he was in Garfield 2. He saw “Cohen” was the last name of the director and just automatically assumed it was the Coen brothers. So he signed on without reading the script

Everyone panic… apparently HR is doing HR things. Oh my god what on earth would cause that!?
Almost like we’re somehow competent…. KC needs a fricking raise to the moon

For those of us who haven't self-reported, or been required to report, to HR, please define "HR things."

Fact- Ole miss 99% needs Lane to continue to ascend into relevancy. Deep down everybody on this board knows this.
Hate on me if you will but f-tard Tuberville already established our reputation as a steeping stone program. That should have never been allowed to happen. For this reason alone we need to stop this from happening or we will be dealing with this with any coach we hire in the future who is successful. Again this can't be allowed to happen.
The only question is what is the best strategy to keep Lane, at least until we are in a position to fire him for all this BS (which is not at the moment). For me the strategy is this:
1. Because Florida/LSU think so much of themselves they are simply not going to accept waiting on Lane if he doesn't fully commit to one of them by the egg bowl give of take a day. Lane almost certainly wants to see how far he can go with this team. So no ultimatums from us and let him go ahead and hang himself with his own success (he can't control wanting to win). Time is on our side. We need to leverage that dynamic.
2. Couple the forgoing with a verbal commitment from us that we will meet in all material respects what ever terms that slime ball Sexton is able to squeeze out of LSU and Florida. In other word come to us last after he is through with the play-off run. He can't loose. At the end of the day that is the going to be the same amount its going to cost us to get the next Lane anyway (if not now eventually). So we can't loose.
If it works out we stop the stepping stone issue and if not then who ever gets him has paid dearly. Given how much they paid he will be on a short lease b/c they paid so much and likely he gets fired in a few years which makes them look stupid and us smart.
We cant loose. Prove me wrong!

LSU and Florida have had coaches leave them for other jobs more recently than we have. Are they a stepping stone too?

for another SEC team? In the middle of a play-off run - that's the worst possible scenario for our reputation.

Everyone in the national media who has commented on the situation are all saying it's a Lane problem, not an OM problem

we may get some benefit from that kind of shade but the core issue is still the same.
And to answer Henry's 1st thought - Lane is not the only one and yes anything is possible but the closet thing I've seen in 50 years besides Lane is CHF and look how that turned out.

That being said I’m glad things worked out the way they did because we actually improved after the Matt Luke debacle.
I still maintain that Freeze would have been successful here had he not been fired. He failed at Auburn because he didn’t want to be there and that was somewhat confirmed by Reece Davis

If Lane had left for Auburn 3 years ago we would have had the problem. Not now though.
Most people realize we have the money to compete with the big boys year in and year out now with the right coach. This will 100% be chalked up to Lane being Lane and he's just never going to change, regardless of what he says in a documentary

From one of the OM On3 mods:

Adding nothing but what I’ve heard: LSU is just as focused on Eli Drinkwitz as Lane Kiffin. He’s interviewed twice.

I wonder if that media call might knock some sense into him.
