How many versions of "done deal" has Florida put out there?
I feel like their excitement is purely due to the poor job of their own media members pushing rumors instead of facts and all relying on bad sources that are also simply reading rumors.
I got concerned about him leaving when I realized how very quiet LSU had been in their search. I mean not much of a peep out of them for a couple of weeks.
I think the only way he ends up at Florida now is if Ole Miss pulls their offer and if LSU and Kiffin don't get to an agreement. Florida would simply be the last man standing at that point.

the media is all on Ole Miss's side. If Kiffin leaves, or allows this to drag out and causes us to miss the CFP as a result, that reputation he's worked so hard fix will take a major hit.

I think they are playing CYA. It's one thing to talk to a coach post season or during a season via agent, but to my understanding, there are rules to prevent contacting a coach directly about an open job during the season.

I’ve been raised by one and lived among them. They’re Tennessee with a dentist. Loved my time there, but Jesus Christ the Tebow years gave that football program some ego that hasn’t been deserved in years. It’s been downhill fast since Urban.

I have family in Florida but they are all Seminoles.

I remember growing up while Alabama sucked in the 90s and early 2000s. I asked my dad who the most obnoxious fans were in his opinion and without hesitation he said “Alabama”. Which was weird to me because they had always been pretty tame my entire life. I said “they don’t seem that bad” and he just replied “Just wait until they are good again and you will see”.

The larger schools that draw in sidewalk fans are all pretty similar to me. We’re lucky in a sense that we don’t really have as many, but we’ve got some shitass y’allqueda fans too that seem like they’ve never had a thought in their existence.

Just saw a post on Facebook about an LSU insider clearing up the whole visit thing. According to that none of the family visited Baton Rouge. Can we agree that no one really knows what’s going on?
