frick. He just tweeted a bunch of Ole Miss stuff including our 2026 CB commit. He's going to stay isn't he? That motherfricker needs to pack his shite and get the frick out of my snowglobe town!

My argument is that if the little KDs in front of me stopped trying to figure out whose dick they were gonna ride that night and actually yelled like i was we would have had a much louder stadium.

Dude, please. Stick around this board for a while. You're gold.

There is a scene in The Office where everyone is at a house party hosted by the interim manager, Robert California (James Spader). Erin (Ellie Kemper) is really into Andy (Ed Helms), and Erin while quirky is attractive and a great fit for Andy. And she’s into him! Andy is oblivious / trying too hard etc to recognize the golden opportunity. Dwight (Rainn Wilson), almost breaks character, puts his hand on Andy’s shoulder, and out of frustration says calmly and bluntly to Andy, “You’re an idiot.”

I thought for a while this was 4D chess and a plan to really promote Ole Miss… but no… Lane is Lane and nothing about him has changed it would seem. How he didn’t see this backlash coming is beyond me. Why did he think Ole Miss fans boosters etc would just be like “Okay man, thanks for the ten win season and possibly getting us to the playoffs, we appreciate all you’ve done, best of wishes coaching at one of our biggest rivals! Such a hero! God bless!!” Why he would burn his reputation to the ground here is beyond me. Maybe I’m just too simple of a person.. but I sure as hell don’t get it. If he announces he is leaving after the game, win or loss, the door can hit him on the way out. You simply don’t quit on your (winning playoff bound) team in this scenario, and no amount of “The game has changed. Players don’t think the way they used to. There is no school loyalty, and you guys just need to accept it,” will change my mind on that. Dude really spit in the face of this university in recent weeks. I’m assuming damage done with certain parties is hard to come back from.

1. If we lose the Egg Bowl, the blame will 100% be put on Kiffin for the distractions. 2. If we win the Egg Bowl and Lane bolts, he'll get crucified for quitting on a playoff team for seemingly "greener pastures" and being the "same old Lane Kiffin".

He’s in a catch 22 situation of his own making at this point. Good.

It does make this more palatable that we have done everything we could and Lane and his tubby agent are the primary drivers of the chaos. Them trying to control the fallout has been quite funny while being partially sad like two retards humping a doorknob.

It would be funny that out of all these "insiders" that grampaw from HottyToddy.com would be the one to break the news.

Other than that, I'm going to be pissed if he stays.

“But iT’s da ScHeDuLe’S FaUlT!!!!”

No motherfrickers. People make decisions. Not schedules. You either have integrity or you don’t. You either live truthfully to the image and persona you have most recently spread upon the world or you resort to the slithering snake you’ve been in the past, and very well likely just are. Sell your soul, Lane. Let everyone down except you. Real powerful lessons you’re teaching your players and your own children.

Even the LCD ole piss fan wouldn't buy the "I was trolling" narrative he'd try to spin if he comes back

Maybe. There are some Lane cock gobblers out there that probably would do so thinking by doing so they wouldn’t look like such cucks, except by doing so they look like even bigger cucks.

The most embarrassing thing about this whole saga as Landmass stated earlier is the fans that are wanting us to thank him and wish him well. What kind of Mickey Mouse shite is that.

He has to be weighing the whole “I am single handedly about to burn my entire reputation to the ground, erase any legacy I built here, and eliminate any doubt about my character for all those except LSU fans (or wherever I go), and take my chances LSU (etc) will work” as grounds to stay, right? Is the incremental pay bump and “better resources” and “easier path” really worth it to him vs the PR damage? I really want to know his thought process.

I asked AI about all of this just out of curiosity.. tried to be objective and just have it gather info as it could.. and it’s response was insightful basically stating “While Kiffin excels at humor, coaching the game, playing the portal, he lacks emotional intelligence and shuts down when he is the center of conflict. He didn’t hesitate to poke fun at various coaches earlier in the season, but went quiet once character called into question. He loves attention. He likes from fans this idea he has OM crushing it. But he also doesn’t like when he is the source of negative attention. He is an avoidant in these cases. It makes more sense to run.” I’m paraphrasing but in a nutshell, people are good at some things, and others not so much. It seemed to suggest he didn’t anticipate this reaction from Ole Miss fans and was just caught up in the process of “They (UF and LSU) want me. I matter. They (OM) will understand.” And that losing the fanbase probably bothers him. That’s what I wanna know is does he regret his handling of this. Did he underestimate how much he has been valued here? Or for him is it just plain business and fans like us are just pawns and naive to his approach? At this stage, Ole Miss deserves a coach who genuinely wants to be here. He isn’t an OM fan. So he doesn’t seem to genuinely empathize with what the struggle has been getting to this point. It was just a job for him. We all got too caught up in the romance thinking he was truly trying to build a legacy here.

You made the exclamation pop on this thread with your keyword.

I do wonder if Lane is one of those guys that likes to be plunged with a strapon mistress, though.

Lane got his feelings hurt cause someone put him in his place. He’s sulking like a child but will likely come around. I’m not sold he’s going to LSU but we shall see.
