Since our season is pretty much over unless we make the NIT we can now look ahead to next years team. This years team had moments when it played well and other times it didn't.Our bigs at times had trouble scoring inside and rebounding. The only player we should lose is Henderson.Which I think can make us better next year if it means more plays are run through Summers.Look I know Henderson was fun to watch for 2 years but he shot 97 more shots than Summers and shot only .353% from the field and .342% from 3.The only guy that had a lower FG% was Millinghaus with .345%. The offense should have ran through Summers and not Henderson sort of like last year it should have went through Holloway and Buckner.
My guess at next years rotation
PG/Summers,Moody
SG/Moody,Summers,Newby,White
SF/Newby,Perez,White,Hymon
PF/Jones,Coleby,Perez,Hymon,Brutus
C/Saiz,Coleby,Cox

One thing you notice is how many guys can play different positions.I think Summers plays point for us but Moody can also play it even though he gets out of control at times with it.

Player breakdown of next year.

Jarvis Summers:We will have one of the best guards in the country next year.
Stefan Moody:5'9 guy that dunks like a 6'5 guy.He is an explosive athlete but also is a solid shooter. He won freshmen of the year in the Sun Belt averaging 16 points a game in 2013.
Martavious Newby:Solid role player that always hustles and is a good defender.
Snoop White:He is capable of scoring 15 any game and is also capable of being held scoreless.
Anthony Perez:Same thing as Snoop.
Marcanvis Hymon:6'8 tweener that is a good enough athlete to get minutes but don't expect to be anything over 10 mintues a game.
Aaron Jones: Developed a mid range game but has no post up game,Solid defender, ok rebounder.
Dwight Coleby:Came on late in the year and looked solid, could develop into a good player.
Terry Brutus:Kennedy mentioned him as part of the future of the program.
Sebastian Saiz:Needs to add on weight and get stronger but when that happens he has a chance to be All-Conference.
Demarco Cox:He shouldn't be getting anything more than five minutes of game.

I don't think Millinghaus will be back.We just offered another juco point guard which doesn't sound good for Millinghaus.Next years team comes down to Moody,Saiz, and Coleby.Moody needs to be the #2 scorer to Summers and the development of Saiz and Coleby will be key.I think this is more than likely a bubble team.

Summers is going to be the star obviously. We really need guys like Coleby, Perez, and Saiz to mature during the off season

Snoop needs to step up. If Perez and Saiz would bulk up and stop being soft down low we could be pretty good

The JC Moody kid is suppose to be our second scorer. Saiz, Colby, and Perez will need to make that next year improvement for us to dance but we will not be a bad team at all.

I think we'll be improved at every position actually (assuming natural year-to-year improvement from the young guys).

Do we have an emotional leader that we lose in Marshall will be the question.

@SpiritBen: #OleMiss commit J.T. Escobar was named a first team Parade All-American. 6-2 guard averaged just under 30 points per game as a senior.

Do yall think that Cox may leave? He seems to be getting passed by Saiz and now Coleby.

We will basically be the same team next year. Maybe slightly improved depending on how much the guys coming in contribute.

He needs to walk across campus and talk to Freeze.

I thought this guy made a huge mistake when he decided to play basketball instead of football coming out of high school. His film was ridiculously good.

This. Really hoping Saiz has a big jump next year. At this point, Cox and Snoop are what they are. Perez showed some growth this year. Hopefully he continues to improve.

He's too soft for basketball, how could he play football? There's a reason he chose basketball. Newby is the toughest kid on the team by far and he couldn't cut it on the gridiron when he gave it a shot.

He may want to start one year in his career. With Jones getting another year to recover and our freshmen improving, I don't think there's anyway he starts next year. It was a good question because AK has said between the lines he is going to run folks off. Josar is another candidate along with Derek

Solid shooter but that's about it. I'm speculating that because AK listed players that they were building around and he and Derek were the only two underclassmen not mentioned. He even mentioned Brutus

Cox really isn't all that physical for a guy his size.He should be able to move people around with his body and get great position down low but never does.If he comes back he won't get more than five minutes a game.I doubt Janari Joesaar,Jerron Martin, Derrick Millinghaus, and Demarco Cox all come back.Kennedy will tell some to look to transfer to another program.
