Orlando isn't really close to the beach though

Probably should've clarified... I'd stop in Orange Beach for 2 or 3 nights on the way.

And hell the payout is much better than the music city and gator

Maybe I've always been wrong but doesn't payout not matter? Doesn't the entire sec split each bowl payout evenly? So as long as there is a sec team there (which there will be) then it doesn't matter right?

I hope we get the wins to get a cotton invite. I can easily drive to the Dallas area and hopefully get to meet up and drink some bourbon with some of you frickers.

The more the money the bigger the share you'll get. Then the other share is distributed among the other 13 teams. That's my understanding.

Outback Bowl representatives were at the game Saturday. I can say that I wouldn't mind Tampa.

I personally either want CFA or music City (I know this one would be a lesser bowl but it would be fun)

Yes.

yeah let's drop one of the best bowls in the country in one of the best venues in the country because you despise Texas ...

Why?

For the CapOne bowl most would stay in Orlando with all the resorts. But the beach is really not that far away, you could stay in Coco or New Smyrna Beach which is about 45 minutes to 1 hour away from Orlando if you just wanted to go to the beach.

I'm no fan of playing in Texas but the Rebs taking over Dallas for a week is pretty great no matter the circumstances. We will show up for any bowl that we get but playing in JerryWorld has a higher-profile feel than the other bowl games.

Isn't it supposed to be in the new NCG rotation starting next year?

If this is true, I'm definitely hoping for the Cotton Bowl.

In my opinion, the Cotton Bowl is as close to a BCS game as you can get. Way better than the Capital One Bowl and that goes to the #2 SEC.

Unless they've changed the formula in the last year, the bowl team gets an expense reimbursement, then the net gets distributed to the other schools in equal 1/16 shares, except that the bowl team gets a double share. Oh yeah, the SEC office also gets a share.

You are still getting a larger amount since the pay reward is higher compared to the Music City.

Well, yeah, but it's not really a big deal. The diff would be only about $200K between the Music City and Cotton.
