We didn't give up (won 7-6 in the 2nd half) play great defensively and scored as many points as Bama will give up all year. I think we have a coach and need to trust him the rest of the year. Hotty damn Toddy!

Agreed. The improvement in the defense is almost unbelievable. I just hope the team can maintain this level of intensity.

I agree. Take away the kickoff return and the crappy throws we had in the second quarter and we were in it.

Even with all that after we scored in the third we were honestly in it. That's all I was hoping for tonight. I think if we play to potential we will be in every game for the rest of the season

I think they will continue to show great effort, while improving each week.

I'm not gonna lie. I was PISSED last night at the refs. This morning though, I've cooled off some, but I just get irritated when bama gets any help. That being said, our D was bringing the hat all night, and you could tell bama wasn't expecting it and it frustrated them because they're used to OM teams that quit. A Nutt coached team would have been scared to hit and faked injuries. I hate they had guys get hurt, but I thought it would have been the other way around. Real happy we didn't have anyone go down. This group showed incredible effort last night. Real proud of our guys in that respect. I thought some of the offensive play calling was questionable, but it doesn't affect my trust in Freeze. I'm blown away at the improvement our D showed last night. They looked much more sure of themselves and looked like they played at full speed for the first time this season. However, our secondary really needs to work on playing the ball, but I feel like they'll keep getting better as the weeks go by. I'm rambling now I feel like. Good game rebs.

Eta: I think our limited injuries so far is a testament to the new S&C program. Kudos to CPJ. Hope we can keep him around. I really hope we can add some size to some of our younger guys. I'm looking forward to the future of our program.

Sad that we are all excited about a solid loss and that school of thought will have to change..and it will with Freeze as he gives us hope. The offensive execution, tackling fundamentals and overall effort is such a dramatic improvement from the last two years that I'm no longer dreading the inevitable next week beat down.

I must admit that I am liking Freeze more and more every week. He is honest and does not put the blame on someone else. At the half last night he said our guys were trying to be greedy and he took the blame for the play calling and putting the qb's in that spot. The thing that pissed me off about Nutt was that he would never accept the blame for our problems and always put it on someone else. Hugh Freeze is gonna make us compete and I am glad to have him.

frickin this.

Before the half, Freeze was interviewed and he took responsibility saying he needed to coach better. Nutt never would have done that.

I'm so proud of our guys and their effort. I thought freeze was a good ole boy hire at first, but the more interviews I see the more I like him. I am all in on the freeze hire. I think he is building something special at ole miss. Next three games we can win if we protect the ball and play as hard as we did this week. I am loving the Prewitt kid. So excited to see the rest of the season and what recruits we can get.#proudtobearebel
