Looking at the QB video, Ryan just doesnt have a strong enough arm to make those intermediate throws. Other than that he's great. Perfect mechanics, great decision making, great accuracy. Can a QB improve his arm strength or is that just a God given thing?

Not substantially

I would think fixing the mechanics would be the thing that would increase it, and you say he has perfect mechanics. Not like I am some arm strength expert...but you don't hear about pitchers going from throwing 75 mph at 18 to 95 mph at 21 or anything.

Yeah, ask Pocket, thrown like a girl his whole life.

The good thing is you don't really need an NFL arm to be very successful at the college level.

Trey Bledsoe looks terrible. He just needs to roid up and become a TE

Danny Wuerffel agrees.

Yea sure. Getting stronger overall, not just in your shoulder.
Strengthening your legs and core make all the difference in the world when it comes to throwing. Core strength gives you that torque and ability to whip your shoulders and just about all of your power comes from the ground through your legs through your core and out through your arm.
Thats not to say that some delta-psi could hit the weights and be an all-american obviously. But it does mean that someone with the obvious God-given ability that RB has could absolutely improve his arm-strength after a year or so of hitting the weights, working flexibility, honing mechanics, etc.
One example to me of arm strength improvement, vast improvment for that matter, is Aaron Rodgers. At Cal his arm-strength was nowhere near what it is now, and he was a junior when he got to Cal. RB is an 18 year old kid - his arm will definitely get stronger.

Rodgers was thought to have above average - good arm strength coming out of Cal.
ETA: Obviously not as strong as now...but it's not like he was Manziel or something.

What do you think the chances are of Switchblade being redshirted?

I'd say 100% barring injury. I trust him more than Brunetti which is unfortunate, but I'd rather have Switchblade for an extra year rather than 15 plays this year(see Channing Ward). I just don't see Frat Boy ever playing. He just looked scared every time he had the ball in his hands. I'm sure he'll develop the confidence and "swagger"

I'm glad to hear this.
I was always on the RedShirt Wagon back when we were all discussing it before. Hopefully it happens.

For the name: I made this account a long time ago when I planned on going to Alabama, but then I visited Tuscaloosa and didnt like it too much. Then I got dragged to Ole Miss with my brother and liked it and now I'm a student here.
But I see Denzel at the bar now a lot more than Bo. And last year they use to go everywhere together but not anymore. Marshall is still the worst though. The night he got suspended I saw him at the Roundtable.

If Bo gets hurt for an extended period of time, Brunetti will finish the game but Kincade would start the next game and replace Bo until be was healthy. Brunetti can not beat a quality opponent with his skill set. He is great to have as a change of pace though.

And Roundtable. I see Bo out every time I walk past the Corner.
