The trees were a nice view to see from behind home plate. Hope we don’t leave a giant black batters eye or empty band field out there

Clutch bats disappeared today. Need to show up tomorrow and not get swept in a midweek series to La Tech.

Tough loss but it’s a Tuesday in February, no need to get worked up over it. We get another go at em tomorrow, hopefully the pitchers will step it up.

Was referring to the 5th inning when our starter was throwing lights out until he got in a rut

We best hope La Tech never joins the SEC.

I didn't get a chance to watch much of the game yesterday, but I see we only put 6 on base, which is slightly below average.

We'll get 'em tonight.

Does anyone know who we are throwing?

I'm really liking what I'm seeing out of our fans not getting all hot and bothered over a February loss on Tuesday night. Last year obviously has done that for us at least. Local radio spent all morning getting all geeked up over how big it was for State to rally and win over USM last night. They are still in shock over last year's collapse, apparently.

Hopefully that's because people realize we had to use a ton of pitchers would normally wouldn't have with Elliot going down. We also have to consider the tournament coming up this weekend.

I'm more than ok with dropping a game to La Tech if it means helping save our pitchers for this weekend.

Too much season ahead of us to get worked up over it. It's not like we lost to Arkansas Pine-Bluff too. Tech is a good program. They've made the tournament twice in a row now.

What I would like to see is some consistently finding the plate. We will not have a very successful conference season if we put 7+ batters on base per game.

We’re a very undisciplined team.

Poor plate discipline. Swinging for the fence and not working the pitcher to get the pitch count up and put pressure on him.

Pitchers walking guys combined with players making fielding errors to extend innings has been brutal. I watched us walk in three straight runs against Maryland.

Insanely talented team that lacks focus. Hopefully this loss humbled the team. They can’t just walk out there and expect to win because we’re defending national champs.

Hitting will be fine. We just need some pitchers to get location down. Also the umps we have had are not doing any favors with strike zones.

Tennessee Tech pitching an outfielder that shut us down still pisses me off to this day. Bianco has more than made up for that now but man, I wanted him fired that night

Had we waited on him to throw strikes, we win that game.

Also, Alderman is catching tonight. He's gotta be the biggest catcher in school history.
