Willie Gay seems pretty anti rebel on twitter. You can count him out too.

Are Neal/chase better than David? I'm cancelling my 247 tomorrow after I read David eat crow today

Yeah late last night he finally posted and it was just basically "I was wrong because my source was wrong"

Moderately better. They aren't going to "report" something unless they can source it well enough. They'll give opinions though that have been wrong a lot lately.

Personally I don't think any of our mods are very effective on the recruiting front.

Yeah I don't either. I lurked on rivals on a friend's account last year and it seemed like there's more user activity there than 247. It's basically dead on 247 except for the same 4 people who always post. Also the podcast is better even though that's free

Do we have anyone that "accurately" reports stuff going on with Ole Miss sports and recruiting? Sadly, the most honest one might be Neal since he's not really a fan. Yancy, Ben and David Johnson just say whatever people want to hear. Neal is annoying, but I think it's gotten so bad I think he is our most credible guy. And that my friends is sad.

Rivals is good for things that are not recruiting related. They were the first to report longo and were pretty adamant that it was going to be mcgriff.

I haven't followed recruiting much over the last several months because there really hasn't been much to follow. Surprised some of y'all don't feel the same way. Moreover, I don't think it's very smart to even try to follow our recruiting right now if you get very emotionally involved in it because you are setting yourself up for disappointment at every turn. It's not likely to improve or pickup until this NCAA stuff is over and depending on how that goes it may literally be 2, 3 or 4 years before it takes an uptick we can all feel good about. That's the cold hard truth. Now, if the NCAA doesn't really have much more then it could be sooner. Fact of the matter is right now, however, the rumors and the investigation in itself have taken a heavy toll through character assassination and fear. Nothing more has been needed to this point to do heavy damage to our process. And finally, I'm firmly in the camp of what some have been saying more and more, we should seriously look into the benefits and even the possibilities of suing the NCAA on the grounds of the time this has all taken and the massive collateral damage that it's inflicted.

Only a giant pussy couldn't handle the ebb and flow of recruiting.

You also can't be mad at any mods. They go by their sources. Some of these sources are coaches.

According to 247 and Rivals, Breon Dixon to make decision today at Under Armour All-American game. Supposedly down to OM and Louisville.

This what I've been saying. You can't be mad at the guys for reporting what sources say. That being said, I wouldn't continue paying for what appears to be bad sources.

But whereisomaha, dmagic, umrealist tell me what I need to know anyway lol

Breon Dixon article from Rivals:

LINK

Includes comments on last OV's to both schools. Also says he was planning to give each school an opportunity last night for a final pitch.

That was relatively harsh. I personally think Insider is right in regards to what the NCAA has done by dragging their feet but unfortunately our own leadership has allowed this shite show to drag out. In regards to sources, maybe the mods need to vet their stories better. After the past year I have given up on them as being even marginally reliable.

I'm about to cancel mine too fwiw. I'm going to give it till NSD but it's just not worth $120 year when they still talk about pretty much everything in the podcast.

I stopped listening to the podcast a while back. Just trying to isolate myself from caring for a while. One thing that constantly would annoy and does annoy me still on twitter about Neal is that he says he has no vested interest in Ole Miss. I understand that from a fan perspective he doesn't and that's true, but his business depends on Ole Miss. So yes he does have a vested interest in them.
