I wanna say Willie Allen lives with his coach who has a LSU family as well.

Even if it's true, Allen would have gone to Alabama if they wanted him.

I think Allen lives with J.T. Curtis, who is the Coach and Headmaster of John Curtis Christian. J.T. is one of John Curtis' children.

David Johnson of 247 crystal balled Drake Davis to LSU tonight....he is a great athlete but has underwhelmed at the Under Armour practices....would have loved to get him but he may be a project and not an instant impact guy.....anyway on to other bass in the lake

On a team where he'll never get the ball thrown to him. Harris can't see the field and has no accuracy past 10 yards of the LOS. He may get some jump balls but nothing consistent to stretch the field like Kelly or SP can do. Then factor is that no QBs are beating down the door to come in & replace Harris when he is gone....it will be a real waste of talent to go there but he has to do what he has to do.

I'm not saying that he won't be a top receiver....just that it may take him 3 years to put it together

All the Scouts this week have been talking about how Drake is a physical freak that will return KOs for any school in the country next year... Does he have a lot to learn in the receiving game technique wise ? Sure... But when you're built like him you've never had to rely on technique cause you physically overwhelm every high school DB you face... It hurts losing him to LSU but if that's where he wants to be I have no hard feelings.. Just don't downnplay his athleticism ... Sounds like sour grapes.. MFer is built like Julio Jones... Not saying he'll reach that kind of ceiling... He probably won't ... But at age 18 they have very similar builds.

Not sour grapes.....this was written today
[Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy wide receiver Drake Davis struggled on Thursday with drops and the ability to make adjustments on the ball. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect is an impressive looking athlete, but still needs to polish his route running.
I would happily take him in this class but realistically he would Redshirt this upcoming season regardless of his athleticism, which I never downplayed.

Eh, if we could afford to miss somewhere it's WR. Let's not forget DK. 247 is railroading him, and some of our other commits, for whatever reason, but he will finish a 5* on Rivals. It's unheard of to snag two 5* caliber WR in a class. Plus we are already stacked at the position with another 5 star that barley plays. Not to mention DD Bowie, already committed for next year.

True, but in an offense like ours I feel you must take at least 2 WRs every year. Some years you may take more, but 2 should be minimum. Think about how many WR play in our system. Gotta have guys that can rotate in/out.
