There are a lot of players on that list we are going after. Shea helping recruit them will be huge.

With 2015 prospects officially signed, we shift our focus to the next class.
The Clarion-Ledger's first Targeted 22 for the class of 2016 has no shortage of talent.
As a reminder, the Targeted 22 is a list of Mississippi's best football prospects and will be updated monthly. The criteria for compiling the rankings include on-the-field production, upside, performances at combines and more.
This list will continue until Signing Day 2016.
1. D.K. Metcalf, wide receiver, Oxford
The four-star wide receiver highlights a loaded group of commitments for Ole Miss in 2016. Metcalf's freakish athleticism, size and speed make him elite at his position.
2. Benito Jones, defensive tackle, Wayne County
Jones tops a class of highly sought after defensive linemen in 2016. The former Alabama commit flipped to Ole Miss last August and finished his junior year with 69 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks and three forced fumbles.
3. Octavious Cooley, wide receiver, Laurel
By the time all is said and done, Cooley will likely have offers from almost every school in the Southeastern Conference. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Ole Miss commit has tremendous upside.
4. Jeffrey Simmons, defensive end, Noxubee County
Simmons' 6-4, 255-pound frame is what SEC defensive line coaches dream of. He already has offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Memphis.
5. Jordan Duncan, wide receiver, Oak Grove
In a class loaded with wideouts, Duncan's playmaking abilities set him apart. The four-star prospect holds offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee.
6. A.J. Brown, wide receiver, Starkville
Brown has offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida and more. Staying in state won't play a factor in his recruitment.
7. Justin Connor, running back, North Panola
The four-star prospect hasn't wavered on his pledge to Ole Miss. The explosive back, who runs a 4.4 40-yard dash, could catch the eye of more elite programs during camp season.
8. Keon Howard, quarterback, Laurel
Howard's the top-rated quarterback in the state. Whether he'll stay at that position in college remains in question, but schools like Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Louisville are willing to find out.
9. Nigel Knott, cornerback, Germantown
Knott has started to get attention from programs around the country, like UCLA, North Carolina and more. Knott's father played at Ole Miss, but he says that won't impact his recruitment.
10. Kobe Jones, defensive tackle, Starkville
The 6-3, 250-pounder has early offers from MSU and Ole Miss. He has a nonstop motor.
11. Zaire Jones, safety, Meridian
The MSU commit recorded 46 tackles and an interception as a junior.
12. Lamarques Thomas, cornerback, Clinton
The physical 6-foot, 180-pound safety saw his recruitment pick up last year with offers from Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Louisville.
13. Raekwon Davis, defensive tackle, Meridian
Davis' 6-7 frame is the envy of many defenses in the SEC. While he's committed to Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State are trying to sway him to stay home.
14. Eli Johnson, offensive guard, Lafayette
The Ole Miss commit's ability to play in multiple spots across the offensive line makes him versatile and a big need for the Rebels in 2016.
15. Javious Bardney, offensive guard, Callaway
The 6-4, 265-pounder is still raw in many ways, but he has blue-chip size and strength. He holds offers from MSU and Ole Miss and says staying in-state is the biggest priority in his recruitment.
16. Daniel Crowell, wide receiver, Meridian
Crowell, who committed to the Rebels in August of last year, is long and athletic. He also has an offer from Mississippi State and draws interest from Alabama and LSU.
17. Jerrick Orr, athlete, Aberdeen
Orr's versatility and speed make him one to watch during the spring camp circuit.
18. Jaquelle Green, safety, D'Iberville
The three-star prospect grabbed an early Ole Miss offer and has the ideal size for a safety. Green's biggest priority this summer is to improve his 40-yard dash time.
19. Jerome Johnson, defensive tackle, Bassfield
Good luck moving this 6-4, 280-pounder. He has ideal size and strength for an SEC-level interior defensive lineman. Ole Miss and Louisville have offered.
20. Greg Eiland, offensive tackle, Philadelphia
Mississippi State and Ole Miss need to build depth on their offensive lines and got an early start on 2016 recruiting by making the three-star offensive tackle one of their biggest recruiting priorities.
21. Drelan Porter, defensive end, South Panola
The 6-4, 200-pounder needs to add weight, but his athleticism has already earned him offers from Ole Miss and MSU.
22. Nero Nelson, athlete, Simmons
The do-it-all athlete already has offers from MSU, Ole Miss, Louisville and Florida State.

Devin white can play linebacker and be a damn beast. Justin Connor can play cornerback but I honestly think he is the best running back we have committed right now

They have a 4 page thread on the Tiger Recruiting board about Shea. Seems like a lot of people think he will be at LSU due to living in Louisiana. But it seems like a lot of the other know they are already out of the picture.
"Y'all need to take heed of what ppeterson1, lsu fans and maximus have posted. It's over, be glad we have Frank's to "fall back on". "
Still crazy to think that we are in prime position to grab a 5 star QB. And to just think how influential he would be as a recruiter during the season as well. Elite talent absolutely wants to follow elite QBs. Just need to have another solid season and not scare anyone away.

The LSU recruiting board started a Felipe franks appreciation thread
They are having to try hard to convince themselves that they are ok with us taking Shea
I hope franks has a helluva year on the baseball diamond this spring, that will really get them going once the mlb scouts start drooling over him

I mean seriously watch this... even you GatorReb
If you can watch his tape and say you don't want to see him run the ball then I'm baffled...
Seriously, this kid should be a five star all day
Have him play both sides and shock the world

Holy cow. Myles Jack 2.0.
Posted on 2/8/15 at 11:27 am to WhistlinDixie15
I don't want to see him run the ball unless it is for the pick six. Lol He looks like a LB running the ball. The hit he made on that running at the beginning of the tape was all I needed to see. LB is his future, and a damn good one at that. Lol
Posted on 2/8/15 at 11:27 am to SwayzeCrazy
Like with his size you'd think he would get caught on the edge
Lolnope... Surprising speed and hell if you do meet him there, you're dozed

I totally get where you're coming from, but I'd at least give him a chance at RB is all I'm saying...
And not an every down back.. But you can bet your arse there's situations where he could absolutely be utilized
