Based off the word from LSU the kid is got commitment issues. Guess he has been to like 4 different high schools, quit football to play soccer and now is back to playing football etc... I would think the biggest factors in our favor are Shea and the fact that his Father is viewed as the LSU Benedict Arnold.

A few writers think Simmons is going to Bama.
He commits to Bama on a random Sunday night or something.
He takes a myriad of visits to Starkville and Oxford, drumming up message board rumors each time.
He announces official visits scheduled for State, Ole Miss and Alabama in that order in January.
He commits to State or Ole Miss on his visit and cancels the remaining.
Rumors come about the night before signing day but he still signs with the school he committed to.

If he doesn't sign with us, I'd rather him go to Bama. Bama is going to have stud defensive ends no matter what while State relies almost entirely on in state talent so I'd rather him just go to Bama and have some 2 star diamond lined up at end for state.

Don't they run a 3-4. Seems like a pretty big difference. Not sure how Simmons fits for 3-4 vs. 4-3 though.

He's actually perfect for a 3-4 just like RN is. They are the same size in HS

Simmons told Barton Simmons that OM is his leader, thats why he is CB to OM. That is an unbiased person, unlike South. Recruiting is fluid and things change, but you can eliminate anyone who says things like "OM has never had a shot with him". Ok then he is either lying to you, lying to Barton, or you are lying to us.
