Oh yeah, you right.
He got a bump on 24/7 to a 92 but not composite. Either way though, I've seen him play several times and he's an impressive player.

I'm not sure I'd be happy being like 10th in the conference and dead last in the west with no four or five star players. It is July, I'm sure it will pick up.

You can't be serious......banking on an accurate evaluation for every 2 and 3 star player is akin to playing Russian Roulette with multiple bullets in the chamber.....Mullen has proven that he can make bowl games, but to beat Bama and other power programs you have to possess similar talent in at least the top half of your roster.

I mean... In DD's defense... It is July.... We started off fairly slow last recruiting season
Not as slow as State this season but there's a lot of fish to fry between now and Feb

Too bad he chose to decommit right in the middle of a recruiting hot streak. People were too caught up in the new guys to even realize the he decommitted. Sounds like he just wants some attention. Too bad it may have cost him a spot

Yeah and state is sitting pretty to bring in one of the best DB and DL classes they have ever signed. They signed back to back studs in '14 and '15 at LB.. they have recruited defense very well the past two classes.
Where they are lacking is QB and OL. They always have great backs and will clean up at WR this year with Crowell and Duncan. Their WR's are the best they have been there. Just like how we struggle with OL and LB, they really struggle with OL and the most important position, QB. Mullen feels he signed a 5* in Stanley and Fritz does everything he wants so we will see.

I can understand people's frustration with not having any 4* players yet. However, we have about 3 or 4 on our board I'm fairly confident we will get. 5* players is a completely different matter. We have another season this year like last year and we will be in a better position for those types of players, but even with the success in recruiting that y'all have had you've still only signed 1 since the class in 2013 when y'all had several. It just doesn't happen that often, and we don't recruit as well as y'all do.
At this point I trust the staff to get what they are looking for. Would it be nice to have some more highly recruited players? Absolutely. I just know what to expect and as long as we keep trending up or having seasons like last year I will be happy. That being said I don't like stagnation and if we have a bad year or two bad years, you will definitely see people very unhappy about how we recruit, but as of right now people are happy with what Mullen is doing on the field.

I have no idea what Hevesy's deal is. It's almost like he doesn't recruit at all. That being said, he turns a walk-on in Beckwith into an All-American. He definitely makes it hard on himself but the same mindset most State fans have in recruiting we have for Hevesy, as long as he gets it done on the field the recruiting will take a back seat.

Definitely not a take for us right now. With a small class, WR is most likely done with waiting on AJ, Crowell, and Morris (if he can get classified, maybe sign and place since we won't meet the max anyway).

I'm really excited about both. (I know
) Staley has a much higher ceiling but has yet to be seen because of having a minor injury this spring they didn't want to take any chances on. Fitz looked great in the spring so I'm happy to see where it goes.
