Apparently Gabe Angel had a pretty poor day at the Rivals 5* challenge this weekend in Baltimore.

Yeah I saw what Neal said in his 10 weekend thoughts, sounds like Gabe might need a year or two with Paul Jackson. Didn't Neal say his speed was what really kept him from competing? He sat the bench the last 3 games of his 7 on 7 team.

Angel, meanwhile, appeared to be somewhat out of his element, Helmholdt said. Angel’s 7-on-7 team in Baltimore climbed out of the losers’ bracket to play in the championship game. Angel was relegated to the bench in the final three games of his team’s run.
“It was just, in that setting, he didn’t have the athleticism or the explosiveness to really get open and make a difference,” Helmholdt said.
Angel had dropped in Rivals.com’s most recent rankings.
“There was nothing he did this weekend that I saw to argue for him moving up,” Helmholdt said.

You guys better not release him. He is your hunkiest recruit.

Glad to know you're staying on top of that....or are you a bottom?

David just said expect OM to take only 1 more WR in this class. Who do y'all think it is?
Jordan Duncan
Dillon Mitchell
AJ Brown
Anyone else in the mix?

Always a chance we lose Daniel Crowell to Ohio State so we could take two more.

Sweet, now if he just knew how to run good routes and catch he would be awesome.

Sumlin hasn't accomplished anything to lead me to believe the ags won't finish last in the West. Sooner or late those 'croots will be open season

Hugh is great at getting them on campus.....he just has to learn when to read the signs and cut bait if they aren't actually serious about coming. We definitely have gained popularity over the past three years though.

What happened w/ Na'tye? We could really use both of these at the OT spot. Nice to get a big strong mlb too.

Just waiting right now I guess.
Na'Ty quotes from post visit interview with DJ:
“It was an amazing visit. I really liked the school. The family atmosphere was evident. I can tell the coaches really care about their players here. They are concerned about their players. To me, that was the feeling that was most evident. Ole Miss strengthened its case. They solidified their spot as my leader. Coach Luke was with me the whole time. He was a great person to be with. It went good with Coach Freeze. We sat down together and he told me about what his expectations were, and I was able to share mine. We got a good feel for one another, which I think was great. I just want a little reassurance for myself that this is it. I want to get back home and think things over."
