I wouldn't bank on us being bad on the OL. The interior will be the best its ever been. I said a week ago if Luke couldn't get it done with the lineup we had against A&M he needed to go. Well I got it done. Funny how teams look better with better talent playing.

Is it because Werner started calling more plays to the sides rather than up the gut?

I'm surprised that Georgia Southern is an FBS team.

A 6-2 FBS no less. They were a terror in the Southern Conference once upon a time. They also run the triple option. Terrible choice for an OOC opponent.

It's their first season as a FBS team.
Not sure why we scheduled them.

Woffard runs the triple option too.

Ga Sou. should not be taken lightly. They gave Alabama a fit 2011 (and scored more on them than any other team that year). They beat Florida in 2013. They consistently catch P5 teams off guard and compete with them (GT and NC state in 2014). They did get shutout by WV this year, but they still play UGA. And they will put them on upset alert. They are now also getting more attention nationally and are in for big name recruits (that guy with the bus reveal that went to ND).

Why did Boudreux have them as a choice? Was there any connection?

I don't know anything about connections, but I'll ask. My guess would be location. GSU recruits out of Florida, it's only a few hours from his hometown. GSU stock is rising too since they moved up to the Sunbelt. Statesboro has a good home feel to it like Oxford does too. That's where I got my bachelor's.

I'm still holding reservations until we play a team with a halfway decent run defense.
That won't be this weekend, either, BTW. Auburn's rush defense is even worse than TAMU's, and TAMU's is fricking awful.

I am with you. Still think we need to move on because of inconsistency and an inability to even field marginal back ups.....all that needs to be said is 24 rushes for a grand total of 40 yards against mother fricking Memphis State....that alone deserves a firing!

It's funny, a SDS article was talking about our pistol run game specifically with our bruiser backs and how that would help us beat TAMU. Then what did we see?

Sept 24. UGA
October 1. Memphis

October 15. @ Arkansas
October 22. @ LSU
October 29. Auburn
November 5. Georgia Southern
November 12. @ Texas A&M
November 19. @ Vanderbilt
November 26. Mississippi State
This schedule is brutal!
Whatever happened to playing Vandy early? They're usually our 1st or 2nd SEC opponent. If they had moved Alabama back, I'd be pissed. I like playing them early. I also enjoy playing TAMU kind of early. And I'm not liking LSU so early, I prefer them later in the season. The LSU game falls on my friends wedding date... ugh. And I don't like the 2 away, 2 home, 2 away, just to nitpick.
But thank you for the midseason BYE and keeping Bama early.
