Per some poster on Nafoom, he did not travel with the team, from what I understood. I have no idea how accurate that the poster/statment is, but I am not getting my hopes up at all.

I still don't believe this flue nonsense.

It's a ploy to pump up Gatorade sales during their 50th anniversary.

All the players will be ready to go, attributing their quick recovery to plenty of Gatorade.

Genius.

Gatorade will miraculous fix " the flu" like it did with Jordan in game 6.

Immediately bumping up sales of the miracle fluid.

It feels like the media thought this game needed a storyline, so they started a flu rumor, or at least took small thing and blew it up

Yeah, this is a little ridiculous. I understand the medical staff has to give the whole team the flu shot, but why not way early in the season? I mean, do we actually know that everyone received the flu shot on a certain date and since then they have all been experiencing similar symptoms? Did everyone that got sick never have a flu shot before? Were they all freshman? Did we take to them with biological warfare? How else can you explain something like 21 players on the team got the flu all at once? I got the flu shot a few weeks ago and I didn't get sick.

Getting the flu shot won't get you sick.

It can make you a little under the weather but won't give you the flu or anything like that.

I personally have an extremely weak immune system.
And when i was 16 I received a flu shot. Without having prior symptoms.

I came down with the flu 2-3 days later and I've never felt that bad in my life, death was enviable.

I'm sure I'm some sort of outlier, but I got the flu from the flu shot.
Haven't had a flu shot since then and have never gotten the flu again.

Just speaking on the actual science of it. But go ahead and believe what you want.

"The influenza intramuscular shot (most common type of flu vaccine) is composed of a killed virus with no potential to cause influenza. However, it will kick your immune system into gear and you can have a runny nose, fever, fatigue (symptoms similar to the common cold). But these symptoms are much less severe than the influenza virus

The intranasal vaccine is a live form of the influenza virus. But the virus has been weakened to diminish its ability to cause infection. It's a stronger vaccine but not as widely used because of its potential to actually cause the illness it's trying to protect you against."

There on some UF fans that absolutely think UF is just gonna beat us. Said that it took miracles for us to beat Vandy.

Memphis has a ton of playmakers, and they are extremely fast all across the board.
Their passing game and multiple looks and deception on the option plays are impressive.

Thankfully they don't play defense but good lord I'm more concerned of that game than all but LSU and State.

Thankful we have a cupcake to prepare for them , schedule is working out well this year

I'd say Florida is still way more of a trap of game than Memphis and am much more worried about them.

Wait do we actually believe their players are faking the flu and/or this is a Gatorade media blitz on the heels of their fiftieth anniversary?

I'm not worried about Memphis or Florida. We are the better team. If we execute and don't hurt ourselves with penalties we should win both games.

More worried about Memphis than LSU or MSU.

Oh come on now. We are gonna walk in there and beat them by 3 scores. LSU is who worries me. Not sure if we can stop LF7. And if we can't then we have to make EVERY offensive possession count.

Your reading comprehension needs some work.

I'm far more concerned with LSU and state
But Memphis is third on my list as I said above

But hotty toddy let's win them all.

What if this whole Gatorade Flu thing is all one big scam?
For publicity, psycological warfare, story line.

Too many weird coincidences setting up before this game

FWIW:

Ole Miss will be wearing the navy helmets, white jerseys with navy letters, and navy pants.
