No idea if he's on campus but if there were two commitments over the weekend it would be those two

I'm sure it's been answered before, but how many guys are we looking to/can we take this year?

A interesting tidbit from Neil... He has consistently said that he has spoken to no one who is optimistic about Brassell, though he has spoken to people who are optimistic about Alford's waiver getting cleared

heard the same on snoop. My understanding is he's still so far behind getting to the amount of hours he's supposed to be by now that hit's not worth even putting him in the depth chart.

he's done well since he's been back but him not passing a single fricking class the entire first year here and quite possibly the same at CC is screwing him.

Not what I've heard. Brassell had all A's. He only needs a 3.2 for this entire summer in order to play. He has July and the intersession that he has to do well in order to play. As of right now he is doing better than expected.

I think he makes it.

I heard it from a friend who works with the team.

The kid is definitely working hard.(and staying out of trouble)

It's not so much his grades since he's been back....it's more about him not having enough credits for his year to be eligible. You have to have so many credits depending on what year you are.

And for what its worth, I've heard the same thing when it comes to Alford. I don't even know what it is he is petitioning for but I've heard that he feels good about his chances.

I think when it is all said and done USM is gonna feel sick they let this kid get away. He stood out this spring and he doesn't even have a grasp of the defense yet.

I haven't seen him out AT ALL. That doesn't mean he is staying out of trouble completely but it's a good start. Although having to get a 3.2 in the summer is worrisome.

And that is the major point. I don't really want to go into detail with it on this board but that is the major point of it all.

That's true, I know what some of the other athletes are taking and if you can't get an A in those classes then you are doomed.

But that doesn't make any sense. We know how many classes he can take up until the season starts and how many credits he can obtain. If it was about credits then they could have told him a long time ago there is no way for you to get to the amount of credits needed to play.

Now his senior year. That is a totally different story.
