I tell you who needs to come on. Channing Ward. That kid is pushing BUST level. Some might not agree but he is getting close. Did he really get any better this year? He made some special teams plays but he was a 5* talent. We didn't get him to be a great special teams player. I hope Freeze can talk him into a RS year. He needs it!!!!!

I don't know why he hasn't put it together yet. He has all the tools. He just needs that light to go off in his head.

Unfortunately his problem is between his ears. He has all the physical tools to be great, just cant remember where he is suppose to be or what he is suppose to do on each play. A RS year really isnt going to help him much.

his chances to see the field are only going to lessen going forward with the influx of talent on the DL

He was extraordinarily raw out of Aberdeen and he's still having trouble with technique. Hopefully Kiffin can fix that.

I think Channing is one of those 5* guys that really isnt a 5* due to terrible coaching in high school... Channing is good at chasing down the football but his technique and pad level leave a lot to be desired... Like the other poster said, hopefully the light comes on in spring practice.

How long does it take to really learn D-line techniques, though?

Genuine question, I'm no coach.

Depends on many things but it shouldn't take two years

Really a lot has to do with the motor. S&C is huge for both OL and DL. For DL you have to develop a good first move. For RN he has to learn how to beat a double team. That takes time like Dmagic said.

The guy is adjusting to a new game. He can't just lay the wood like he's extremely good at. Hitting, tackling you know football.

I disagree completely.

I wouldn't recommend a RS year for him, he's been a complete stud on special teams and provides some desperately needed depth at DE.

He's not horrible, he's just not a 5*

CJH sporting the OM mouth guard. Wish Alabama would quit calling him!

Why? Its fun for him to have them still want him and he has recommitted to us and recruiting hard for the rebels. There is no doubt at all in my mind that he is Ole Miss bound. I dont care if lord Saban comes crawling on hands and knees to his house after the dead period, im not worried.

Did you really just ask "why" someone would want Alabama to quit knocking on one of our recruits door? That's about as idiodic as it gets.

I feel the same as the above poster I am no longer worried about CJH and Bama. They won't stop trying so why worry about it. If he hadn't of already come out and picked us the 2nd time then yes I would be worried. But now I'm not worried at all.

I hear you, but I had enough fun with his recruitment already. When he is still saying things like "I’m kinda still struggling with it now” referring to his decision, I would just like for him to say he's done. I think the fun is over with his decision. That being said, I think he is OM bound.
