Yea, he is a good athlete. But y'all are giving him too much credit. Honestly, he escaped the pocket in that video, and looked like he had cement blocks on his feet after the initial cut. The pass he threw was behind a wide open receiver.

Don't get me wrong, he is good, but a better pick up for TE or some type of LB/DL hybrid than QB. How well can he throw? Exactly. You have to be an elite passer to make it in the SEC, you can't run around and expect to beat good teams.

No you don't. Nick Marshall, Tim Tebow, hell JFF say hello. You don't have to be elite at passing in this league in order to have success. Also no one is saying he is gonna come in and be the starter. If he is used at QB it will be for goal line and short yardage situations.

Was LSU recruiting him at QB or TE?

LSU was recruiting him as a QB but just like everyone has stated, with the thought that he could be moved somewhere else if that didn't work out.

That Sept 19th game was after spending all off season working on the DL, fall camp, and then three days before the game being told they would try you at QB. There is a video on 247 where he says he only had three days before the game. He ended up throwing two or three TDs.

Enough about Liggins. Glad to have him.

Ok then... I call Alvin Moore being the sleeper of this class... His speed at LB will make him a huge force on defense

23-46 with 441 passing yards and 126 rushing with only 24 carries? Yea 280 can't be the right size for a quarterback?

Those would be mediocre stats against SEC competition but that's pretty pitiful against juco competition.

Our staff was telling back in the day that he could compete for QB but needed to lose weight. Now he just wants to play ball. Problem is that if wants a realistic chance to start he needs to lose 30lbs. Ain't gonna happen. He will play TE, DE, HB, LB, or QB depending on where we need him.

I like this comment about why kids may choose OM.

quote:

. Things like a young coach that is a players coach, immediate playing time, maybe some cash, not being demanded to commit to a process, no accountability atmosphere maybe and other things that appeals to a generation that has a lot of kids with a little less character and self discipline than we have seen before, are some contributing factors
