I heard that Jones is stuck in traffic right now. He may not make it to campus until the ninth. Oh well...I guess it is juco for him.

Think. It has a lot to do with what the organization wants him to do. On high draft picks like him they want him to get to the minors quicker due to the amount of money they have invested, thus AA skipping Vancouver. He should be in AA by next summer and with his athleticism he could easily be in the Majors by summer 2015.

If he was only in Short Season A in year 2 that generally means they consider him a non-prospect, minor league roster filler.
