I think this hurts a team more than does good. Ok they start next year. No redshirts. Then what does he promise the next group? When will he start a redshirt program?

well.....logical thinking tells us the redshirt program starts the year after the one where we promise PT. But I can see where this thought escapes you.

Are you saying we should promise to Redshirt players who could quite possibly start by the end of the year?

Not a flame at all but is he really "visiting" OM or just his brother? I know that the coaches will talk to him regardless just hearing alot of people say he is there with his family to see his brother

But congrats on getting the OL and RB on campus today to

He's really visiting. His mom has been talking to freeze a bunch this past week and they promised they would all come to Oxford. They left atlanta at 5am this morning to come here, according to spirit. Why would they all come visit denzel if it weren't for an actual visit? Wouldn't it make more sense to have Denzel come to Atlanta?

Actually yes- thats exactly what you should do. You're going 3-9 this year either way- why not redshirt alot of them and make your program better down the line?

A year in the S&C program and learning the system > game experience and burning a year of eligibility

You realizing that you're trying to disprove pretty much every team who has ever been in this situation including MSU, right?

We're obviously going to RS some players from this class. But you're absolutely insane if you'd tell a certain recruits that you'd RS if MSU was in the same situation as us.

Who are we promising playing time too? Unless you're a RB, Juco, or 5 star talent you will be RS

Edit: or TE

FWIW, these are the recruits that I am referring to. Not sure where they got that we're offering PT for everyone.

Chizik opens up the depth chart and says the best will play. Playing time helped AU recruiting in 2009-2011. If Freeze is using that to get some recruits then good for him. Some kids coming in just may be more talented, they my make rookie mistakes, but just may give the team a better chance at winning or competing. Not flaming cause I like Ole Miss, but the last couple of years results would suggest offering playing time to the best, regardless of class.

Denzel looks like he has added some weight. Paul Jackson looks to be doing a good job

Nick will be unless we get really desperate, Quay might or might not, but he's had since January to work out and go through the playbook.
