Regardless of who he is committed to, he's going to get recruited all the way until NSD. He's the No 1 recruit in the country he'll have heat on him until he faxes that shite in. We need to take care of business on the field and make it to a bowl game and the recruiting will take care of itself.

You're right, to an extent. But you have to admit that "little Ole Miss" would be viewed as an easy kill by other top programs in the country if we had RN committed.

There's not too terribly much to fight Clemson with. They are playing very well lately, bowling, winning the ACC is near, etc.

Besides us being a family friendly spot for RN, there ain't shite about OM that compares to other top 10 programs.

If he goes public to us, it'll be like blood in the water. Hell, RN has already shown that he's prone to emotional decisions. That's how he ended up committed to Clemson. Our staff knows that and they want the last people he talks to before singing that LOI to be us. If everyone thinks he's a Clemson lock on NSD, the only staff we have to worry about is Clemson. Instead of the entire FBS top 25, feel me?

Don't be surprised if Ole Miss picks up a commitment from 4-star DE Elijah Daniel if Robert Nkemdiche switches his commitment to the Rebels. It's been said that Daniel, who committed to Clemson right after Nkemdiche did, will follow him wherever he goes. That's just what I have been hearing through the grapevine. Take it for what it's worth.

Wait until NSD. Wrap your head around this:

Gross
Ward
CJ

All with this years experience. Then add:

(gone)

All I'm saying is it doesn't matter who he is committed to, he's going to get lots of attention.

"Per NCAA rules, we can't really talk about a recruit in specific, but I will say this: Every high moment we have in the program, we capitalize on it. And I will just tell you this Monday, making calls to recruits, was a great day. It was a great day." - Ole Miss CB Coach/ Co-D Coordinator Wesley McGriff after practice Tuesday.

We really need Combs. I think Combs/Reed were our co-number 1 choice as far as juco's go. It didnt look like we will land either so we went with Cummings who will be solid, but not on the same level as Combs and or Reed. Honesly I'd rather have Reed. He is a Nick Fairly clone. Basically impossible to snatch him from UNC since thats where he's from, but we still have a shot with Combs as long as he doesnt graduate in December. Unless one of the the MC boys see the light we will have a weak spot at the oppossing DT aside Gross. Cummings, Martin, Bennett, and Woody are very solid backups, but unless one of them hits that next level they are not good enough to start in the SEC. Combs and Reed both are. Honestly I wouldnt be surprised if we put RN at DT if we end up developing some DE's or pickup a committment from Z. Smith. We are one player from suring up our defense next year and that one player is Reed or Combs

Hind's coach use to coach with Freeze at Lambuth and gave Yancy a pretty solid break down of his prospects.

Very encouraging information on Mireless. He said he is the best athlete in the state and has been playing QB, WR, and CB for them this year. He also said that Auburn and Texas recently offered him and are trying to get him to visit, but he's told both no thanks and is a rebel.

As far as Whitchett, I was a little let down. His coach said he will probably serve OM better if he RS next season. I hate that because I honestly thought he would be the deciding factor in which side of the ball Snoop plays for us. All I've heard from UGA fans is how he is a freak athlete who just needed to get his head straight. This is his first attempt at CB and that is why his coach thinks he should RS. He said he's just too raw. He can cover anyone man to man, but needs work with his technique. Looking at his film its hard to find someone on our team to compare him too. At WR he's as physical as Moncrief, but at CB he has that it factor that Brassell has. Just an incredible athlete with an unlimited ceiling. Just looks like he will not be able to help us much next year except with depth, which is confusing if he is as athletic as advertised

Leslie's grades are dog shite and will graduate in May if he does graduate. We have backed off him and putting all attention on Rumph who we are very far behind UT and MSU. We really need to land a Leslie, Rumph, Cooley, or Treadwell and it looks like all are pretty big long shots. Treadwell had a nice tweet about us this morning but he does that a lot for most teams. Honestly I think he's our best shot out of those four, but we HAVE to land one of them.

Brassell now committed to us, although we knew he was going to.

Thread is quickly started on Sixpack questioning why we're so excited that Brassell is coming back, because he's nothing special.
