Tell me about going to Norman

My wife(no pics) is a huge OU fan, and we've gone to the TX-OU game every year for a while. We've gone to OU bowl games, baseball games in Austin and such. I've never been to an OU game in Norman, and she's never been to an LSU game of any kind.
So, we're planning on going to the LSU-OU game next year, and I want to do it right. Looking for recommendations on anything and everything.
Best pregame spots.
Best place to sit in the stadium.
Best place to stay Friday and Saturday night.
Best places to eat.
Best places to go dancing/live music.
Any must-do's for an OU-LSU couple!

Not that staying in OKC is bad since it's so close, but book your hotel early if you want to stay in Norman.
If you want something chill, you can look into staying here. It's actually a monster conference center used by the postal service but they have a hotel.

Embassy suites in Norman is usually where the opposing team stays. There is also a new hotel right next to campus called NOUN that I would love to stay at some day, and is in walking distance to a bunch of stuff.
Food wise, you can't go wrong with tuckers onion burger in north Norman or hideaway pizza on campus corner, which is a commercial district next to the noun hotel, and is where most of the pregame activities will take place.

Best pregame spots.
Campus Corner and the tailgating spots
Best place to sit in the stadium.
If you can score them, the club level sections 126 - 133 seats are awesome. Complimentary food (burgers, dogs, brats, bbq sandwiches, dips, nachos, etc.) and access to two fully-stocked bars.
Best place to stay Friday and Saturday night.
Highly, highly recommend staying at The Noun. Book early. Hell, book now if you're sure you're coming. 2-minute walk to Campus Corner, across the street from campus, 5 minute walk to the stadium. It's a couple years old, very nice hotel, amazing indoor/outdoor bar on the 2nd floor.
Best places to eat.
Depends on what you want. BBQ? Ray's. Pub food? O'Connell's. Gyro? The Greek House. Steak? The Ranch ($$) Italian? Benvenuti's ($) If you & your wife like Asian food, you're in luck because Norman has a good size Asian population and we have legit Japanese, Korean, Thai, you name it.
Best places to go dancing/live music.
What kind of music?
Any must-do's for an OU-LSU couple!
Sneak into the stadium late at night and have sexual relations on the 50 yard line

Hell yeah, that's the spot. No parking or Uber to the stadium and back. The official schedule will be released next week, so the date is all we need. I don't want to assume it'll be the last game of the year again.

That's the kinda info I'm looking for! Chinatown is one of the few things I miss about living in NY.

Country dance hall. Red dirt live music

I'm down. You're gonna need a good zoom on the camera if you wanna record it

Yeah man, Ubering to the game isn't bad, but ubering home can be trouble unless you don't mind waiting an hour for your ride
Thai Delight is a short walk from the Noun, as is Cupbop Korean. I'd recommend either or both.
My personal favorites are on the west side of town, literally next door to each other and a 15 minute drive from the Noun.. but IMO worth it: Ichiban Japanese Sushi, Poke and more and Paris Bahn Mi Vietnamese
Almost forgot - Norman has some badass tex-mex. Tarahumara's, Ted's Cafe Escondido and Mamaveca are all really good.

El Huevo is the best hangover cure in the 405, literally 'The Hangover' burrito has revived me.

Got my hotel booked for the weekend. Looking at tickets on the visitors side in sections 38 or 229. Section 38 being lower bowl but bench seats, 229 a better vantage point and chair back according to seat geek. Where would the LSU band be located? Thoughts?

Also, since my OP, we found out we have baby #2 on the way. Due right at the beginning of football season, so this will likely be our first weekend out/alone in months! What a way to celebrate by dissing each other over football

Normally it's sections 15 & 16.
Section 38 is in literally the opposite corner of where the LSU band will be. 229 are decent seats but way high up there. Bring binoculars!
