If you are talking criminal element Lawrence Phillips at least has to be mentioned. He was the 6th pick but would have been higher if he wasn't a criminal already in college.

Nobody remembers Brent Fullwood either because he was overshadowed a few years later by the Packers picking Mandarich. Now that I looked him up he made the Pro Bowl 1 year for gaining 821 yards. Still, 1700 yds in his career for a 4th overall pick isn't too good.

That has nothing to do with my post.

Having a winning tradition isn't reason to be a complete shitheal...and from what I have seen, most frickeye fans and athletes fit that description to a tee.

The worst pick in the history of the draft was Tanpa Bay wasting the number one overall pick on Bo after he told them, flat out, he'd never sign with them.

Purple Drank is a distant 2nd.

Don't see how you can get worse than the #1 overall pick that doesn't accrue a statistic.

When taking into perspective both the expectations and draft pick, it's hard to argue against purple drank and leaf

1. Bo Jackson, #1 overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Never played for Tampa Bay and was never traded. Bo was a completely wasted pick.

To be fair, the Bucs cost him his senior year of baseball at Auburn. Because of this he told the Bucs and everyone that would listen that if the Bucs drafted him he would sit out a year. The Bucs drafted him at #1 and he went to play baseball for the Royals.

Only mindless bammers include Aundray Bruce in the discussion.

I am not gonna say he had a great career.

But he played in over 150 games and had an 11 year career with 30 plus sacks in the NFL.

That is not great for a #1 pick but it is far from a bust compared to the jackassery of Leaf at #2 and Purple Drank at #1.
