Highly recommend Pig & Pint for great bbq. You should check out the CatHead distillery, they have several events throughout the year where they hire an outdoor band, food vendors, and open the distillery to public. Anywhere around the Fondren area is fun and relatively safe.

If you have a hankering to buy furniture for some weird reason while you are there go to Furniture Market in Fondren. My son just started working there as his first after school job. Shits pricey but the guy that runs it is awesome.

Shuckers oyster bar on the reservoir has decent food and is a great bar at night. Crowd ages range mid 20s to mid 40s. Always live bands on Friday/Saturday night

I can’t believe no one mentioned Mama Hamil’s. Is it still open? I know Mama died a year or two ago but I thought to family kept it going. I will also add that if you will be working in the I-55 corridor the Ag Museum Cafe is also an awesome place to eat.

Got in to town today. We stopped at Cotton Blue in Hattiesburg for luch. It was really good. I highly recommend it. Great food.

We went to The Bulldog tonight. The beer selection is amazing. The Prohibition Crowd Control IPA was my favorite.

Southern Prohibiton is my favorite brewery in the state. Good call on the Bulldog. Don’t go there near enough.

It’s right down the street from where I will be staying/living. I started a list tonight of what I drank. I should finish off the menu by March.

Just FYI, but the new Shell gas station on Old Fannin Road close to the Spillway has Ghost in stock (manifested around October 1st). I asked my mom to pick me up a couple 4-packs last night and keep them for me until I make it back over there.

I just got back home today. I will most likely be going for 2 more weeks before Christmas.

We went to Pig and Pint on Saturday. It was awesome. The pork rinds and queso was amazing. The beer selection was great as well. We went to Lost Pizza one night. It was pretty good but not a must go to place.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the Ridgeland and Madison areas. Jackson is what I thought it was but there good places in the area.
