Just because you know a few chicks who watch this, it doesn't mean all of society does. A quick google search shows that their viewers are right at around 3 million, and there are over 300 million American citizens.

Why do you say that? That's a broad statement
Their goals have nothing to do with freedom. Just the opposite. They will dismantle your protections from the government. Guns first, then speech.

I find it fascinating at how far apart the political parties have become. It seems like only extreme nut jobs are elected now.
What ever happened to politicians who are willing to work with the other side? Are they too afraid of not getting reelected if they stick their neck out?
There has to be more people out there like me who are moderate on a lot of issues. I'm just wondering why more aren't in office.

I think that's a bit of an egregious way to look at it, but you're entitled to your opinion.

The greatest removals of our freedoms have come about due to Republican or bi-partisan, with only Democrats actually voting against the second.
The first? Suspension of habeas corpus by Lincoln. A fundamental right granted in Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution.
The second? The Patriot Act. The only dissenting vote when it came up in 2001 was a Democrat, and in 2006 the only "No" votes - once again - came from Democrats.
Republicans can NOT take the moral high ground when it comes to "defending individual freedoms". They tossed that card into the garbage long ago.

They're all full of shite and none deserve our support. The fact that they've trotted Hillary and Trump out there and know that they can get away with it shows just how far gone we are.

Progressives =/= Democrat. You're too hung up on party politics

I'll clarify then.
Republicans are pretty much NEVER defined as Progressives.
Yet they have been VERY anti-freedom. They keep championing the 2nd Amendment and while everyone blindly cheers, they erode all the rest.
Progressives have not cornered the market on anti-personal liberty. They're just late getting to the Conservative party.

Both Bush's were progressive.

Are you equating progressive and liberal? They aren't the same thing

Leftists are basically anti-civilization, violence-prone losers. Throw your lot in with those folks if that's your thing. Otherwise, don't.

Oh no, I understand that. I just do't know what you see so wrong with being a progressive. Progressivism bred modern liberalism, and they are related in many ways. Progressivism at it's core and beginnings is based on income inequality.

I assume you're a de-regulation guy?
FTR I don't identify as a full blow progressive.

Those days are long gone, but still could apply some today.
Liberals have values, progs have goals. Progs believe the ends justify the means.
Progs are the left leaning version of social conservatives.

Reasons to be a liberal democrat:
You hate America
You hate successful people (unless you have made your money on the backs of working people)
You like trying to convince minorities and poor people that you will help them.

Because if you're not a liberal then you're a xenophobic, racist, privileged straight white male shitlord

We're pro-weed and we have no moral hangups about sex. If that doesn't ring your bell, you're a lost cause.

You vote so you are a brain washed liberal anyway.
