Wrong. Arkansas was first choice.
Plus I don't see why SEC fans would be fine with Arkansas leaving over other programs. Arkansas have a great fan base, great facilities. F'ville and NWA is one of the nicest areas in the SEC. A LOT of money in that area. This is coming from a LSU booster and former MU student, I hate the state of Arkansas. But U of A is nice, the area is nice. And they have one of the best fan bases in the SEC. Considering the population of Arkansas, I'd put that fan base up against any when it comes to support for the Big 3 sports.

Most of the hate came from the Petrino years when they were good and their fans on this website could troll (especially LSU). Now the Arky posters that are left are terrible at trolling.

WTF??? They are a decent program considering the size and demographics of the state. Thank god Louisiana have a lot of "athletes" and the only major school in the state, oh and over 4 million.
You have to be realistic, Arkansas is recruiting up against some good schools, small population for instate talent. Arkansas is pretty good when you factor in every thing.

1. Great academic school and better than most in the SEC.
2. Fayetteville is the nicest SEC town by a long shot
3. Probably the most well rounded Athletic Department in the country. Historically dominant and successful programs in almost all sports. Elite facilities and one of the most influential ADs in college athletics.

I personally think it dates back to the fact that Arky really should be a Big 12 team. Yalls history is in the SWC. You should have never been admitted into the SEC to start with. Thats my old school opinion anyway. But I hated expansion since day one, so dont feel offended.
