Who pays to go see women's professional soccer?

Serious question. I'm not trying to belittle the sport, but honestly can't imagine a large number of people being interested enough to actually use their time and money to follow it.

See the stadium yesterday? A lot of people

I ask the same about college baseball

There's over 7 billion people in the world. The odds of them being different than you is pretty large.

Who cares about this world
All that matter is this USA

Most of the fans wearing stars and stripes there were French. They were big supporters of the USWNT.
I have no idea why that is, but the announcer pointed it out during the match.

I thought everyone hated the USWNT

We've saved them from speaking German on multiple occasions.

That's not exactly correct. The main one that's widely been reported was against FC Dallas, not the US youth team. Although Dallas has one of the best academy systems in the nation. It was also a closed doors match that likely involved a lot of experimentation, trying new things, likely the women weren't going 100% to avoid injury before their actual match, etc.

It doesn't make less sense than the people that do the same for softball, gymnastics, basketball, etc.

No one
Just like no one goes to any other sport that no one talks about.
Or Cleveland Indians games

My friend, this horse you insist on continuing to beat... it is dead.
What you like is not what everyone else likes. That holds true to everything from politics, to movies, to what sort of sexual shenanigans you get up to in the bedroom, to sports.
People, a lot of people, enjoy watching the USWNT team play. They routinely crush the American men's team in terms of ratings and attendance for matches.
A ton of people find American football to be boring as hell. You'd be annoyed if those people kept gassing on about how much they hate watching college football so maybe follow the Golden Rule and stop complaining about another popular sport?

Do you know if they don't? I'd bet that the US women's softball team gets paid at least as much as the men's softball team. I'd be surprised if the women's gymnastics team got paid less than the men. Can you find how much the men's and women's basketball teams get paid?

You can belittle it. It's fine.

If they are, they need to find another avenue to vent their frustrations! None of the sports news outlets I've watched have mentioned it. Hell, EVERYBODY wants to be paid more money for the job they do, but most people don't consider where that extra money to pay them will come from.
