Pick one. The topic is "who is your team?" not "Who are your teams because you don't like to lose?" .
My team is the Braves. Been my team since 82 (man I'm old).

Unfortunately I follow 2 of the currently worst teams in the bigs. I'm from Houston, so of course the Astros. I've been in Denver for over 6 years and go to a lot of games.
At least both teams have been to the WS in the last ten years. and both got swept

I was given 4 free tickets yesterday at a tailgate for seats 9 rows up in section 134 for when the Mets are here Monday the 15th. I'll be rooting for the Rockies though

Can someone explain why people from the South pick northern teams to follow? Unless you have some roots in that city, I don't get it.

Well my dad grew up in New York but his family were ny giants fans. When they got stabbed in the back my dad was left teamless, he decided to root for the Red Sox bc it was the first WS he remembers, plus he didn't like cheering for front runners like the Yankees. He turned into a huge fan, and passed that fanship on to his family. Thus Go Red Sox and frick the Yankees.

Some people like a player or players on a team. Or some childhood shite.
When I was like 9 or 10 I made one of those impossible basketball shots at the fair and won a basketball. They didn't have any LSU ones so the carny gave me a random one and it was Duke.
I've rooted for them ever since, just not over LSU. FWIW I know that's not a "northern" team but it easily could have been.

This should be everyone's secondary fandom.
