$43,000. My aunt didn’t have children so we were her kids. When the wife and I purchased our first home she said she had a present for us. Brand new $1000 bills just pulled out from the Bank of Forest.

173,254 dollars in cash. My brother in laws mattress after he died of cancer. BIL owned a stockyard. didnt believe in banks. Left my SIL with a bankroll but it was all over the place in cash money...the number stated here was just a fraction. it also turned out he had lent money or given money to a major portion of Elmore county Alabama without my SIL even knowing. he was a good Dude.

Tomorrow, I have to pick up $2.4 million from a client. To be fair, it’ll just be a check, but it’s still kind of cool. The most cash I’ve held is $17k

I was a runner for a law firm right after college and had to deposit a 3.34 million dollar settlement check for them one day. If 22-year old me at the time would’ve been a little more criminally-bent, I probably would’ve done something stupid.

That's in 1970s cash so really it's like half a mil.

No. I think that was like 1997 profits from 3 weeks of hog barn sales in central Alabama.

You've had an interesting life.

A little over 1 million cash seized from the safe deposit boxes and medical office of a crooked doctor in 2000.

If gold counts I’ve held $123,000 at today’s rate.

About 57 grand. Our manager used to run the cash to the bank every few days and she got sick as a dog right as Black Friday hit. Since the bank was just down the street from where I lived I deposited it that one time.
I resisted the urge to listen to "Take the Money and Run" by Steve Miller on the trip to the bank.

Told this story on here a while back. Years ago off shore fishing in the Gulf I reeled in a large tightly packed garbage bag about 2 foot square. Thought it was a grouper at first. When wee got it in the boat the captain cut it open and it was filled with bundled $20's and hundreds. The captain immediately called the coast guard and reported it. Once they showed up an hour or so later they estimated it was around 10 million in cash. I was so bummed but the captain said you don't dare keep suspected drug running money. After watching No Country for Old Men years later I understood why.

Cash not so much, a check maybe?
But I've touched/managed some funds with a hell of a lot.

I'm taller than that.
But the nose and hair are spot on.

I did not hold it all in my hands but when I was in Panama during Just Cause I stood next to pallets of $100 bills at Manuel Noriega's palace. I think they estimated that he had over $300M in there.
The most I have ever had in cash in my hands that was mine was ~$140K from hitting a jackpot on a high limit slot at the Beau Rivage years ago. They brought it to me in a paper bag.
