I don’t know this is exactly where you’re going with the thread but there’s a chunk of folks who say 2 syllable words where the first syllable ends with a ‘t’ that I (or my ears anyway) dislike. The way they stress the second syllable and sometimes just the lack of the ‘t’ sound and I dunno cadence of it makes me stop and take notice and be generally sneery.

Example - button said buh-UN

Misuse of "he/she and I" or "him/her and me"

There are a few ways to mess these up and I feel like I hear them the correct way less than 20% of the time

I am not sure if this applies to the spirit of the OP but I cannot stand when people put an apostrophe "s" to indicate plural.

The worst is when you see it at someone's house where they have one of those cutesy signs that says their family name and the year they were married....

"The Johnson's - Est 2003"

I also hate online when people transpose worse and worst.

BTW Language is fluid. Just like authors have used Ya'll, y'all, and yall. I prefer the first because I was spelling it that way and so was everyone else in penpal letters 25 year ago before autocorrect came along. Irregardless of you all's opinions, "irregardless" is quite literally a word in the dictionary. "tweets and lol's is too wacka wacka wacka"

Listen to someone speak spanish from Spain, Mexico, a Central American country, and Argentina. Wildly different and different "phrases" oh you guys don't speaka da espaniola

Instead of rinse, my wife says "rench". Drives me nuts, but I won't correct her. Just saving the peace.

People seem to mix up dumbass and genius when addressing me. I just let it slide though.

“Use of impact because someone doesn’t know how to use effect/affect”. So your preperceived notion that people don’t know how to use effect/affect bothers you when you see the word impact? I’m not sure you really understood the point of this thread.
