I go to Birmingham every two months to get an infusion of Remicade that keeps my Crohn's from flaring up
I'm on bethanicol PRN to tighten up my esophagus after surgery failed to keep my severe vomit-esque reflux at bay (caused by my Crohn's)
Generic asthma inhaler
Claritin

Eh, I've learned to live with it.

I was tested for Crohns when I was vomiting blood and had bad stomach pains. They were ulcers.
Good luck with it.

I've had the same issue. My acid reflux was so bad it eventually corroded my esophagus and it made me vomit after nearly every meal for 2 straight weeks. The doctor had to scope my throat and stomach, found a polyp, and prescribed me with Nexium. Since then, I haven't had any issues. Although I do have to stay away from fatty and greasy foods.
Now I have severe sinus drainage in the morning that makes me constantly gag for roughly an hour after I get up, especially when I get in the shower. I haven't found anything to help prevent or cure it. It's terrible.

Your self loathing negative LSU issues are needed in the other OT pal.

Okay... I probably fill a 20 pill prescription once per year. Flying and such.

So you have a problem with people taking anti-depressants? Tell me what you think about it.

Nexium
Plavix
Crestor
Lovasa
Niaspan
Getting old ain't for punks. They've given me some pain killers for the old bones and joints and I gotta have some more ankle, knee and shoulder surgery plus another neck surgery they are telling me now, but I rarely take the pain meds - hate those fawking things. Make you feel like $#!+ and they clog your arse up where you crap these small baseball size rock turds that make you feel like you are crapping basketballs. Plus I want the pain killers to work when I get into my 70s so I don't want to develop a resistance to them now.

Same here. My entire esophagus was eaten up with ulcers. I had 4th degree esophagitis. I have been on Nexium for 3 years. I tried to come off of it but it came back with a vengance in just 3 weeks. My doctor told me I can't come off of it.

Simvastatin (Zocor) for high cholesterol and that's it.
Is this for anxiety or depression (or both)? I was diagnosed with anxiety and chronic mild depression years ago but didn't take anything for it. I was once prescribed Paxil years ago but only took it a few times and didn't notice any improvement. I just recently realized that the chronic mild depression I have actually has a name called dysthymia. It has all the symptoms of major depression except they aren't as severe but they last much longer than bouts of major depression. Anyone here ever diagnosed with this? I don't know whether the untreated anxiety led to the dysthymia or the dysthymia worsened the anxiety but I've been in this "funk" far too long and would like to get over it. I think I'm getting to the age where the untreated anxiety is starting to cause more physical symptoms like heart palpitations, chest tightness, shortness of breathe, fatigue, and even ocassional bouts of vertigo. I even had a couple of panic attacks completely out of the blue about a year ago and I wasn't anxious or under any apparent stress at the time. The point I'm trying to make is that if you are starting to deal with anxiety issues get help with it asap because I know from personal experience that there are real, actual physical consequences that will crop up in middle age that didn't when you are younger.

I think Lexapro is a fine drug. I think its overkill for me right now, though. It really helped turn me around, but the past week or so I have felt jazzed up and a little reckless. That's my signal that I no longer require it.
