What's a good option for killing armadillos and the occasional rattlesnake?

A 22LR with sub-sonic rounds....not that I ever sniped any armadillos within a city limit before

I'd prefer a shotgun for those critters over a .22 but that's just me.

That would do the trick faster but the neighbors may, or may not, have approved. They may have never known about the 22LR option

Does anybody have a Glock 43 or a S&W M&P Shield, or any other single stacks worth considering?

EDC is a S&W Model 60 in .38. Very nice pistol. Not a big fan of the autos.

Im not a gun nut but I own a few. I wore a S/W 38 airweight on my ankle as a back up weapon for years when I was on the road. Love that gun more than any other. Im better w/ the issued Glock but the little Smith is just sweeeet.

A really old Sears 7 Roebuck .22 rifle that was my grandpa's. Still shoots accurate AF.

A 12 gauge Browning A5 shotgun that was my great grandpa's. Still shoots accurate AF.

A 20 gauge over/under Beretta shotgun. Model 686 I think. Won it in a raffle. Great gun, but I don't bird hunt much.

A .270 Weatherby Vangaurd deer rifle.

I don't love guns. I enjoy hunting. That's the only time I use them other than occasional target practice with that old .22. If I were to lose them all tomorrow, I wouldn't lose a minute's sleep over it. My interest in hunting seems to lessen as the years go by anyway.

I don't like handguns.

Why? You let the media make you believe all liberal minded people hate guns? That's ridiculous. Not everything is black and white.

The media? No. Not the media. That was just your assumption.

Alright, why then? Genuinely curious. The media seems to push this notion that all liberals hate guns but that hasn't been my experience. At least not among males.
