I'm NC/SC also, and i'd totally agree with Coastal. I'd have to go with Wake in NC for more personal reasons.
But, man y'all are killing me with the Myrtle hate.
Grandparents lived in Surfside, and had other family down off of Wachesaw in Murrells Inlet. Loved my summers in Surfside.

My sister got accepted there, but couldn't get any financial help from the school when she really needed it. Other, less qualified people got accepted with scholarships. I know they were less qualified because it was her best friend in high school. I also know there's a million ways to get $ for school, and it's not just Wake, but that really chapped my arse.

Actually though. Texas people are extremely arrogant, but can back it up just a little. Baylor people on the other hand are absolutely nuts. There's a reason the Branch Davidians set up shop in Wacko.

I'm from Conway, where Coastal actually is. It's a beautiful little town and CCU has a nice campus, but the student body is something out of a Nickelback video. Myrtle Beach gets a bad rep. If you stay north of 30th Avenue North or south of 17th Avenue South, you're ok. And the beaches bordering Myrtle, like Surfside and NMB, are all fine.

He’s more than likely going to Kentucky and will decide on law school after that. Could be much worse. His mom went to UK so it makes sense.
