I was a loner that got along with pretty much all the cilques. Very small town and school where everybody ended up at the same pasture parties or at the same spots out on the dirt roads trying to find a place to get laid.

The Hell raisers or 'smoking area crowd' as we were called. Yes, they actually had a student smoking area.
We were the drink beer, smoke (cigs and weed), drag race in front of the school, fist fight in the hallway crowd.

I didn't fit in with any of them. Didn't really have a unique identity. I could get along with anyone. But trying to be friends across cliques meant not being in one.
Yeah, same

I was a runt and not accepted in any clique. Hung with a loosely knit group of other outcasts and misfits. Safety in numbers, to not get our asses kicked. Filled out and grew 4 or 5 inches at 19. Wish my weiner had grown proportionally. Lol

I hung out with outcasts of all sorts, but mostly people who into punk rock, and this was the late-seventies, so it was still new.

Well, I was in the group that was into cars, bikes, and hunting and outdoor stuff.
I guess I fit in pretty well with most groups though, I was voted most popular guy in my senior year. That was a shocker, it really was, because that was normally a jock type guy that got that.

My group was definitely the jocks, but we also happened to be the nerds as well. AP, Dual Credit, Honors type classes. Had a few from band/choir. Mostly athletes/smart kids.
But I went out of my way to be friendly with everyone. Never know what kind of day they might be having.

I didn't really fit in with anyone from my HS. I was forced to attend the rival HS of the town in which I grew up cause my mom taught there, so that was really weird and I not so quietly expressed my dislike of their decision all throughout. I still think that was the most terrible decision a parent could make.
While I detested the place where I went to school, I was the best athlete, so everyone knew who I was and I hung out with whomever during school hours. But all my friends went to school in the town I grew up in so I was always with them any other time and at football games, etc.

i went to a small school of 300. 52 in my graduating class. there were not a lot of cliques.... really just 2. preps/jocks/rednecks/hispanics and skaters/druggies/vato hispanics.
for the most part they were all pretty inclusive and the only real difference was where we sat at lunch and even then we swapped around.
we did have an all out war once when one of the kickers found one of the druggies growing pot in the school greenhouse and ratted him out.
