List is shite. Louisville over Centre. Hell, Union College has more beauty over city school that nasty.
Yeah, I'd put Centre, Transylvania, Berea, and even Murray State ahead of UofL.

I've been to all the major North Carolina campuses. Not sure I buy Wake Forest over UNC, Duke, and Asheville (though Asheville might more about the surrounding scenery than the campus itself. Mountain universities have a definitely leg up on that point.)
I think Wake may have made it over Duke because of the odd bifurcation of Duke's campus, with one campus being Georgian and the other Gothic... and that odd neighborhood-come-administrative buildings section between the two.

There is that. Honestly, I feel a bit embarrassed to admit that I never really thought about what style the non-Gothic building were in.
And I do want to make clear that Wake is very pretty. It's actually the one closest to where I live right now (well, by about 15-20 minutes, at least.) I've only been there twice, once for pleasure and once for a conference, so my pick of UNC and Duke over Wake isn't exactly a heavily informed one. Grain of salt and all.

I've been all around Hendrix's campus... it's not even close to being as nice as Fayetteville's.

I'm sorry, did you somehow miss that they picked Vanderbilt for Tennessee? They're clearly one of the greatest news sources in the history of journalism, and this list is our generation's Watergate expose. Thanks to this list, America finally knows the truth.

i really am one of the luckiest people in internet debates. lol
I just came across this article about the 'lake' at Furman.
LINK
Windsurfing was also allowed for a number of years, and Furman’s crew team practiced on the lake into the nineties, even though swimming was banned at some point in the eighties. However, no one is sure of the precise date of the swimming ban. What is clear is that a significant decline in water quality caused the prohibition.
'The water quality is another common myth of the Lake, but it is one rooted in reality. Many students have heard that the Lake contains unsafe levels of E.coli, either from earth and environmental sciences and biology professors or from other students who take their classes. In certain ecology courses, students perform a lab in which they measure the E. coli in different parts of the Lake. Almost unfailingly, the Lake’s E. coli levels are much higher than the EPA’s upper limit recommended for recreational swimming.'

That picture is literally the only thing I've seen of Furman's campus as we drove by on the interstate. In HS went on a college tour of UNC, Duke, Wake, NC State, Elon, and we're supposed to stop by Furman on the way back home but on of the charter buses broke down for a couple hours and we didn't have time.
